Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the typical 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as Vivid is known for these days. I think the grain and video noise were much less than in other Vivid releases and this makes me think they're listening to those of us who have suggested they focus on the basics first. I didn't see any compression artifacts or other major problems other than a slightly soft focus at times (which may have been done on purpose). The audio was in stereo English but I didn't hear any separation between the channels. Otherwise, it was clear and only slightly hollow. The good news is that the music wasn't as loud as it has been in many other Vivid releases and that helped keep the scenes warm.

Body of Review: Vivid is a company in transition. Ever since it's founder sold out to Hustler, the concern among porn consumers such as myself has been whether or not the company would just stop making new releases in favor of compilations, which are cheaper, by far, and easy to make. Luckily, the current idea has been that the company will continue shooting movies and work on improving the various issues that have been brought up by those of us who care enough to comment. Vivid has been improving the technical qualities of its releases and working on better extras for some time now and their latest release, Ms Fortune, shows this to be a continuing trend.

The movie is a slight feature about a fortuneteller played by porn legend Sharon Kane, who tells youngster Kira Kener about her past, present and future loves. Kira, having found the mystic women to know things no one else does, leaves happy that she's on the right track to ultimate happiness and that's about all the story here. The sex was solid in most cases and here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast, noting that the scenes used condoms:

Scene One: Sharon, a gal that's been in the industry since the 1970's, and Dillion, had a scene in the reading room. Normally, I'm not one to seek out a scene with a woman older than myself but I have to admit that she's been getting in better shape over the last few years and I'd tap it myself if given the chance. The two had lots of playful oral before doing the deed and it ended with a pop shot to her stomach (and crystal ball). A pretty solid scene.

Scene Two: Kira, the lead of the show, and Chris, had a scene in an old room. The sex included oral and straight with some anal to top it off with. I think it was a decent scene but not as good as the first one. It had plenty to like though and I thought it had some good replay value.

Scene Three: Kira, in a skimpy outfit sitting on a couch, took on Slim in another okay scene. After some oral, she took him in her pussy and then did a technical DP with him and a toy. I actually liked this scene a bit more than the last one and think she had some chemistry with him (on the other hand, maybe she's just a good actress). Warm.

Scene Four: Kira, in a doctor's office, enjoyed some quality time with Randy who acted submissive (to an extent) when he sucked the heels of her shoes and then went down on her. She returned the oral favor and gave him some great head before he started fingering her ass. In porn, this means he's about to anally bone her and he did so with enthusiasm.

Scene Five: Sharon, proving once more that she still has some heat left in her bones (not to mention her fleshy areas), took on the mighty Evan in her reading room at the circus. The sex was oral and straight but both acted almost as if they had something to prove and the resulting sex was warm.

Summary: Neither Kira nor Sharon are currently my favorite performers but both did a good job here. The story didn't get in the way of a good time. If you're going to need a movie where your significant other won't feel threatened, I think this one may well serve to keep such people happy as neither gal is an 18-year-old babe yet both display some serious sexual skill. I'm going to suggest this one as Recommended for those who aren't raincoaters and can acknowledge that experience is usually better in bed than youth but others will have to figure that out for themselves.
