Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. This should come as no surprise since almost all porn is still shot this way. VCA is known for having high-end production values so it should come as no surprise that the picture here was above average with no observed compression artifacts and only minimal grain in a few scenes. The camera angles were not always optimal for the cast but again, they were good in most instances. The audio was presented in stereo English but minimal, if any, separation was heard here. The vocals were generally clear and the music not too intrusive for the most part.

Body of Review: I have always been a fan of VCA Interactive in terms of their contract performers and high-end technical values. While their big budget movies are superior to the rest of their catalog (and most of the rest of the porn world in terms of feature porn), their mid to low budget stuff is sometimes lacking a bit. The same could be said about their directors with Wit Maverick and Jim Holliday as the company's "A" team and the others as the journeyman-like guys that usually get the smaller budgets (with corresponding fewer extras). That said, this review is about a newly released feature from VCA's frequent director, Fred Lincoln, called Summer Mischief.

The movie has a minor plot about a pair of grown up siblings played by Julian and Olivia who engage in a bit of competitive sexual gamesmanship. As they attempt to one up each other, the cast goes through the sexual motions as expected, although in this case, even the worst scene was pretty good and the cast above average. With decent technical values and only a little bit of condom usage, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Layla, a lean little brunette hotty, and Julian (where the last name Rios came from I have no idea), had a scene on a bed. While his acting is about as good as mine, I can't deny that the two of them were professionals at the sexual antics. She teased his penis a bit to warm him up and gave a splendid, hand-assisted blowjob to him before he tried to tap her ass with his massive member. She resisted and only allowed vaginal sex (a wise move unless she wanted to limp for a week), and they changed positions a few times before he dropped a load on her face.

Scene Two: Ashley, another lean hotty, and surfer dude Rafe, had a scene in a pool after he playfully used a squirt gun on her crotch. The playfulness continued through the scene as they orally pleased one another (she gives great head) and then he screwed her pussy. Even though she was young and lean, she gave up her ass to him and he tapped it balls deep. She diddled herself while he did so and it ended with a surprisingly weak pop shot on top of her ass cheek. Other than that, the scene was a winner.

Scene Three: Olivia and Temptation had a solid lesbian scene in a shower this time. Personally, I like such scenes as they allow for the viewer to envision the women in a setting common to all of us (at least those of us who bathe regularly, I hear stories about some of you in this regard that aren't pretty). Anyway, the gals went at it with a lot of licking and rubbing, seemingly enjoying themselves a lot. They then used some toys, with the glass dildo being cool looking (it was probably expensive as heck too). This was a very solid lesbian scene for those who enjoy them such as myself.

Scene Four: Venus, a gal that hasn't been on the top of my "babe" list, took care of Billy on a couch. Her large areolas beamed with pleasure as he fingered her and both got some oral loving in the scene. His penis was huge compared to her mouth but after a bit of regular boning, he tapped her ass as well. That she could take it as well as she did is a testament to her skill although I don't think there was as much chemistry here as in some of the other scenes.

Scene Five: Olivia, the lead of the movie and a great lay by the looks of it, enjoyed a bout with Chris on a couch. The sex here wasn't as varied as in some of the other scenes, consisting of just oral and straight only, but the chemistry was readily apparent and the energy solid as could be. I've seen her in more extreme scenes elsewhere but aside from some issues with her implants and tattoos, I think she's smoking hot on screen.

Scene Six: Michelle, a cute little gal that looks as though she could be Gina Ryder's kid sister (with all natural breasts), and Julian, had a scene in a gazebo outside during day light hours. It was not as well done as most of the other scenes here and the chemistry was lacking but it was worth a look nonetheless. It ended with a pop shot to the mouth.

Summary: No one's going to argue that this was the best release by VCA Interactive in the past year but it had some warm sex and an attractive cast of female performers going for it. On the down side, the extras were weak and the story was lacking, even for a porno. The wall-to-wall sex feature really helped out with the value of the movie (the acting by most of the cast was really lame) and for all the good points of this one, I'm suggesting it as a Recommended movie for fans of VCA. If the story were more important to the proceedings, I'd lower the rating a bit but being porn; it's not as big a factor.
