Audio/Video Quality: The picture in each of the four movies making up this compilation were in the industry standard 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Due to the fact that they were all highly compressed to put on a single DVD, the picture looked like crap. The grain was terrible, the video noise really bad and the colors off in most cases. If you took a videotape and watched it a couple of hundred times in a defective player, the picture would probably look like this. The audio appeared to be presented in monaural but my receiver detected a stereo signal (even though my ears suggest otherwise). Do not buy this one based on the technical excellence, if you get my drift.

Body of Review: Fans of porn and looking for the "next big thing" may have wondered what the big deal is with the growing market niche of she-male porn. Ask any retailer and they'll tell you that they can't stock the titles fast enough so someone is buying this stuff. In my opinion, it's only another manifestation of gay porn (if you have a penis, you're a guy, period) and that's not a good thing or a bad thing, just another choice. After all, labels are meaningless when you've got a stiffy and want to bust a nut. It's not my place to judge your lifestyle and you shouldn't care what others think about your sexual preferences, certainly not an internet porn reviewer. If you find guys in drag (or with implants) sexually stimulating, more power to you for having the guts to recognize this fetish.

Midnight Mayhem is a company that addresses a number of niche markets in the porn world, including she-male movies. They offer them in a number of ways but one popular series is the one that puts four full movies of theirs on a single DVD, and then only charges about $10 for the package. In terms of fuck for your buck, this kind of deal is a dream come true for cheapskates everywhere (of which I am one) but you really do get what you pay for. The focus of this review is the compilation Dolls With Balls. It combines the movies Trans Angels and the first three of the Trans Gender Bender series on a single DVD. Rather than focus on style, like Rogue Adventures 20, or quality, like My Girlfriends Cock, the company goes for quantity. In all, a lot of people appreciate this marketing strategy since they don't see a whole lot of difference between said releases. Here's a quick look at the DVD, skipping a scene-by-scene breakdown since the action was so similar and the cast mostly uncredited:

Each movie averaged about 75 minutes in length and had several scenes where a guy dressed as a woman, using on hormones or with implants, would have sex with another man. Some of the time, a woman would be the partner but this was the exception, not the rule. The cast was not made up of a bunch of guys that could pass for a woman unless you involved copious quantities of Jack Daniels, Tequila, or other drugs in order to distort your perceptions. That said, if you're looking for a lot of material dirt cheap, you won't find a better value on the market than this release.

The DVD cover showed a couple of guys that almost looked passable but in the movies themselves, you wouldn't make that mistake. Not to bag on this one too much but unless you're really into the genre, this would not be a good introduction since the low-end technical values were so weak. On the other hand, you can pick this up for the cost of a rental at places like DVD Empire so it's not like you'd be out a lot of cash. If you like any of the individual movies, you can than buy them separately, I'm guessing with better picture and sound quality. Whatever you decide to do, just keep in mind that these are not top of the line releases.

Summary: I'm not a big fan of gay sex with men who dress up like women (or any other kind of gay sex) so you'll have to decide on your own if watching guys have sex for money is what you want. If this type of thing appeals to you, you could do a lot worse than this one since it has a huge amount of content and a very low cost. I'm rating it as a Skip It to the majority of the market but fans will want to check it out. If you enjoy she-male action, don't overlook My Girlfriends Cock, Rogue Adventures 20, She-Male Road Trip 5and Domination Nation
