Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.85:1 ratio widescreen color, not the usual full frame the porn industry is known for. There was some grain and it looked like it was shot on film (although I believe it was actually shot on video and made to look like film). It wasn't the best looking feature I've seen from the folks at Digital Playground, but it wasn't bad either. The audio was presented in the 5.1 Dolby Digital surround the company favors but there wasn't a lot of separation between the channels. The vocals appeared to have been ever so slightly out of synch at times and were often hollow with the music mixed in too loudly. Robby's work has improved a lot since this one was made but the rough edges could well be the result of his attempts at being artistic.

Body of Review: Robby D. is a contract director for Digital Playground, having cut his teeth at Vivid for years. Some of his work in recent months has been well received with examples such as Beat The Devil, Three Timing, and Sinful Creations coming to mind as his better efforts. While each of these movies had some rough edges, they were also entertaining and this is the case with the latest Robby D. job, The Hitman, made much earlier. The movie focused on a hitman played by Barrett, who had a weakness for women, being unable to kill them if he felt any sort of connection with them (usually built by a sexual liaison). The minimalist release saw him go through a long day at the job, with the comedic results of his weakness coming into play. Be forewarned, while the front DVD cover would make it look like Alexa Rae was the star, she only had one scene (this is a standard industry practice that bugs me) and Barrett was the unequivocal lead of the show. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Sunrise, looking fit and trim with her blonde hair, was laying out by a pool when Barrett came along to take care of business. Seeing as how his mission was to terminate her, I'm glad he took the time to give her a proper sendoff when she offered to blow him. The blowjob showed a lot of skill for a twenty-year-old gal, with eye contact, plenty of slobber, and use of her hand to get him rock hard. He returned the favor, although briefly, and went down on her before the two consummated the deal with straight sex. After a couple of positions, he dropped his load on her mouth. While not the hottest scene I've watched lately, it was pretty good.

Scene Two: Dolorian, a cute gal that reminded me of Sunrise, started off her scene by blowing Herschel. Her blowjob was a bit more erotic and slow, as though she were savoring the experience more than trying to get him off quickly, and he gave pretty decent oral himself. She then teasingly played with his penis as she sat on it, slowly riding him while he talked dirty to her (and spanked her a bit). She then jumped off and sucked him off to finish the scene. I like Dolorian a lot and this scene was not her best but the simple fact is, it appealed to me because it wasn't a cookie cutter scene (offering three positions before the pop shot).

Scene Three: Alexa, a personal favorite of mine since she was a Wicked Pictures contract star, took care of Jay on a pool table. He went down on her, at which time the viewer got to see a good look at why she is so popular, and after a brief standing 69 position, she blew him. This wasn't the best oral of the show but it set up the straight sex nicely. The two moved the action to the couch, with her riding him in several positions. It ended when she rubbed out his load onto her face.

Scene Four: Jessica, a lean cutie with strawberry blonde hair, started this scene off by getting Herschel to go down on her. He did a decent job, as usual, and she returned the favor with gusto, proving once and for all that she is one of the most skilled cocksuckers in the porn industry. They had a slow, leisurely screw, and then she jerked him off to completion. It was warm and fans of hers will like it more than the rest of you.

Scene Five: Jessica, fresh from the last scene, got Barrett to sympathize with her and the scene started when he went down on her sweet body. After a short time of warming her up, she reciprocated and gave him a bit of head, concentrating on the head itself rather than the usual shaft action. She used her mouth to put on his condom and then they screwed, with her moaning the whole time. It ended when she jerked him off onto her chest.

Summary: I didn't like this one as much as the previously mentioned titles of Robby's new series, Jack's Playground, due to the technical limitations and the limited extras. I think this one might have been a test for the director to see if he'd fit into the Digital Playground experience and his budget was limited. I'm going to rate it as Recommended mainly because I really like the female cast instead of the movie itself or the quality of the sex scenes (I liked them all at least a little bit but not to the extent I could have). If you're not a fan of the cast, you might want to rent it first to see if it's for you.
