Hey there. I'm Chris Thorne, head of XCritc.com. I used to work at DVD Talk where I managed all the adult reviews, but when DVD Talk got sold and the adult part wasn't, I was given the ability to spin it off as the site you see now.

I've began reviewing adult DVDs in 2001 with Digital Playground's Forbidden Tales. Meeting the young Tera Patrick at an early VSDA show I was blown away. A true inspiration to get involved with a project that told the world about good porn (and warned them away from bad porn).

I quickly went from writing about adult movies to managing a staff that reviews them, and while I don't do many reviews now, I do keep very involved with the latest and greatest films. 

Some of my favorite performers include:  Penny Flame, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Lily Thai, Nautica Thorne, Stoya, Eva Angelina, Tori Black, Kimberly Kane, Erik Everhard, Evan Stone and Lex Steele. The list is ever changing, so if you're not currently on it... don't take it personally.

I absolutely hate bad porn, and unfortunately there's too much out there. XCritic is here to sift through it all so you don't have to. We find the golden nuggets of great porn and let you know about it.  Our tag line was going to be "Friends don't let Friends watch bad porn"... Catchy eh?
