Bobbi Starr Interview

During her several years in the biz, Bobbi Starr has developed a solid reputation among her peers as a true professional. It is no surprise that she has been nominated for a remarkable 18 times in the upcoming AVN awards including Female Performer of the Year. She is dedicated to her craft. With movies such as Slutty and Sluttier 9, Lesbian Triangles 14, and Performers of the Year 2009, Bobbi Starr's range as an entertainer is quite evident. It is no wonder that she continues to be high on the list of favorite actresses to work with among casting directors. The future for Bobbi Starr is only going to get brighter and the glow around her will shine for many years to come.

Hi Bobbi, how long have you been in the industry, what have been your most pleasurable moments so far? What has been your least pleasurable?

I've been in the industry a little over 3 years now. The thing that brings me the most pleasure from working in this industry is getting the chance to work in, for the most part, a sexually health environment where people are comfortable with expressing themselves sexually with another person. 

The least pleasurable moment of this past year has nothing to do with work but it was moving. I really dislike moving, all the packing and unpacking and it always takes longer than you think. But I love my new place. It's like living in a tree house.

How did you get into the adult industry?

Through a friend who was working for Kink.com. What he was doing intrigued me and I was interesting in trying it and exploring this unknown world, since he was also the first person who exposed me to pornography all together.

In 2009, you have received much acclaim and praise for your performances in Full Streams Ahead 2, Performers of the Year 2009, and Lesbian Hospital 2: Her First Exam. What does all of this recognition on your very good acting and performance abilities mean for your career?

It's excites me. I've always worked very hard and have tried to perform to the best of my ability so to see that people are finally starting to notice it very gratifying for me.

You are breathtaking in Boy/Girl and Girl/Girl scenes. What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy? What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

I love women. Period. Their bodies, their soft skin, the way they walk, so many things. It's hard to pick one particular trait since every woman is different and I find something different in so many women. At one point I would have probably said I love butts but truly I love boobs too, and hips, and feet, and hands, and shoulders. Just everything. In men, I admire talent, drive, and heart. My attraction to men is much less physical and more mental.

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry?

That a human being can have a hamburger shaped penis. Gotta love Shorty Mac. 

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you have not had the opportunity to work with yet and want to very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

I love working with people I've never worked with before. There is an excitement that you can not recreate.

How were you as a kid growing up?

Very active. I played music, dance ballet, swam competitively, was in honors classes, 4H, other clubs, rode horses, rough housed around outside, etc. Pretty much did everything but watched TV. 

What are your hobbies and interests?

I love to sew and design clothing. I cook very well. I can knit. I play classical music. I listen to music and watch movies. I swim and surf. I hike and bike ride. Again, anything that keeps me active.

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

Having hot and passionate detached sex with people who truly understand how to do tat and enjoy that act immensely.
