The clarity of their standard definition titles puts most of their peers in the industry to shame so having a visual upgrade of this magnitude can only be properly appreciated in the context of the ladies of the cast, Kristina Rose, Jenna Haze, Alexis Texas, Kagney Linn Karter, Julia Ann, Tori Black, and Bobbi Starr; all among the best of the best performers. Director William H. Nutsack really brought it home in terms of appealing tease and sexual activity too, not needing the fanciest camera made or the largest crew available to showcase each and every one of the ladies in glorious high definition.

The A-Team XXX: As one of the few parodies to come out on Blu-ray, this one more than made up for the quantity of genre by instilling such quality in the final product thanks in no small part to Director David Lord. It had a solid set of appreciated extras, some crazy good acting by the four male leads, and provided a decent story indicative of the old television show. The sex included enough anal action to parody the title itself (five scenes total) with nods to everything else expected from such a parody, the stunts and little touches tipping the scales enough to merit inclusion in this little club, taking advantage of the high definition format to look better than ever before. It is clear that David knows his way around a big budget release and given his body of work in the parody genre of late, the Xcritic team has high hopes that he can get the funding to beat more of his peers with movies like this one.

Big Wet Asses 17: As a franchise, this series has been one of the most appreciated by our reviewers since it started years ago, Director William H. Nutsack always casting a select group of fine young ladies to grandstand in what has been called the slipperiest, wettest, and most strokable show of the modern porn industry. The lighting and cameras were so sharp that there were no details left unseen, the three hour title full of reasons to keep coming back for more. Starring Jayden Jaymes, Katie St. Ives, Ashli Orion, Mason Moore, and Brooke Lee Adams, two of them doing their first anal, the movie excelled in ways that only regular viewers can truly and fully appreciate. The performances were select and while there are numerous copycats populating the marketplace these days, this is the best, the boldest, and thanks to this Blu-ray version, the most bodacious.

Asa Akira Is Insatiable: Not to be outdone by her fellow director at Elegant Angel, Director Mason has also been on the rise in recent years, her eye for capturing ladies at their very best noted by critics and fans alike hence it comes as no surprise that her showcase effort starring Asa Akira was on the list too. Mason went balls to the wall out of her way to allow Asa the chance to do what she wanted and in such a manner that would leave most fans gasping for air. The amount of replay value, strokability, and Asa Akira fuck for the buck was the highest I have ever seen, none of the scenes disposable or previously released. With almost four hours of visually enhanced Blu-ray fun starring Asa Akira, this became the “must have” high definition title for her legion of fans to collect and yet another perfect example of why Mason is empowered as a star maker these days.

The Marriage Counselor: This sleeper hit from Director Jonathan Morgan went relatively unnoticed by the masses this year yet it had everything a good couples flick should including a small but coherent plot, a wonderful cast led by Kirsten Price, and the kind of magic that Wicked Pictures so often delivers in their movies. While admittedly light on extras, the movie had the kind of charm to it that Morgan has long been able to apply, a few of the staffers suggesting the rest take some time out to see what the director can do with big budget comedy when given the chance, but the casting made all the difference here in terms of how well the movie worked. The visual upgrade surpassed some of the bigger releases by the Wicked Pictures too, the sexual heat not weakened in the slightest by the use of condoms.
