NightMoves 26: Memories and Moments

I never felt a more family oriented vibe and in the least likely of places too, an established celebration of the adult industry. Yes, I felt connected to a caravan of wonderful people that danced, laughed, and sang all through a weekend about being as one in an industry that honors so many. Tradition and culture are what I felt as well as many performers from this wonderful industry celebrated the existence of it and came from many parts of the country to Tampa, Florida.  NightMoves Show is a time old ceremony were the industry’s best and brightest show up in the least likely of places which is deep in the south of sunny Central Florida.

   Special gatherings like this facilitate family vibes such as the one I felt at 4Play club in St.Petersburg where a bevy of badass babes took the stage to be introduced on such momentous weekend. It was only the first night but I already started feeling connected. More glory was to be had on more stages of sweet celebration were to be set. 4Play was just the start and great one at that as girls like Avi Love and Sara Jay took center stage for introductions. Soon enough the small stage was teeming with porn performers like Christiana Cinn, Nina Kayy, Lauren Phillips (she featured that night), and Della Dane just to name a few. All standing there showing how ready they were for that NightMoves weekend as they were called up one by one. Tracy Allen leads the charge that evening as the caravan continued to roll on.

  Bare Assets was a blur even though I was of sober mindset (I was pumping Red Bulls that whole weekend maybe that was it). Just how a dream should be like the night floated on as I saw various performers glide to a stage where they were decorated with glee and cash. The Lee Network girls took the stage at the Bare Assets blur two at a time in the utter theatrics of pure porno beauty. That Friday night would later bleed into Fan Fest. That morning we’d all meet up again with my fellow fans to enjoy these women’s presence back at the hotel.

   I’m now a writer with NightMoves Magazine the sole publication and organization that ran the 26^th Annual NightMoves Awards (with the help of sponsors of course) but I started off as a fan. I’ve been attending Fan Fest since 2015 and this year was the most successful. With nearly the entire ballroom filled with fans cavorting with their favorite stars. Paul Allen ran a raffle to give away prizes to the patrons that participated in this event. I saw Lauren Phillips, one of the most fan-friendly stars, engage constantly with curious fans. She was also practicing stripper tricks for her feature dances right there on the floor!

  The small cozy club aptly titled The Whiskey welcomed our girls with open arms. A perfect shaped T-stage that fitted the gaggle of stars that night who feature danced for us all. There was a back VIP room sequestered for us NightMoves folk where we sat and chatted. Some of the girls took to the mini stage randomly. The likes of Sara Jay, Della Dane, and Vicky Vette all stacked onto the personal stage room like the goddesses they were.

  Finally, the extravagant night of the awards show came upon us. We were to meet at the buses that were to take from the hotel to the Tampa Gold Club. Each night the girls took to the stage at the different clubs the caravan stopped at. But the awards show is where it felt like a series finale took place with some of the best feature dancers I’ve ever seen in my life. Kagney Linn Karter was one of the culprits with her dancing skills that were beamed from another dimension. Speaking of another dimension Janine Jericho was decked out in a full-on Transformers outfit that was later stripped down methodically and robotically revealing her pro-dancing stature. Every girl that paraded out had their own theme and theatrical display to their feature dance. I couldn’t ask for more as a writer who focuses on such beauties in an industry reliant on such showmanship. It was truly spectacular since in between the dancing we had awards to hand out. Here are some standout moments/awards I saw and witnessed that night. If you were following the @NightMovesShow twitter then you pretty much saw what I saw that night. I just hope you won’t forget it like how I will never forget it.

Triple Play Award:  A misty-eyed Sara Jay was handed this award as the legendary Anna Malle was honored. Truly a beautiful moment.

Miss Congeniality: I watched Della Dane take this one home and I witnessed her congeniality firsthand all weekend as we laughed and hung out that NightMoves weekend. She was the same way with her other fans and supporters as well.

Hall of Fame: The one and only Adriana Chechik earned this award in full force as well as National Touring Feature Entertainer & Showgirl Katie Sutra. Two deserving and different types of entertainers were inducted that night. Another sound moment from a great night.

This may seem like a diary entry than a weblog but that’s the best way I can express a weekend that still puts me in a daze when I think about it. Pictures and amazing video were indeed captured that night but nothing will replace the warm feeling of connecting with those that I love to write about. Here is to 26 more NightMoves Awards ceremonies in the future! I actually joked with my publisher Paul Allen about the 30^th annual award show being XXX in Roman Numerals.
