Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio color. There was grain and some video noise but overall it looked similar to Jack's Playground 7, which improved on the initial volume of the series. There were no compression artifacts and the quality was pretty good for this type of show. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital surround English.

Body of Review: One of the biggest problems with porn today is that few companies are willing to experiment with new things. For some reason or another, the popular belief is that there is nothing new to show and all the formulas followed are the result of years of trial and error, so any changes are going to reduce the value of the latest releases. Needless to say, such thinking is wrongheaded and silly. Every single consumer has a different idea as to what is "great" porn and to think the very limited formulas most companies rely on as being the ultimate achievement in getting consumers off only perpetuates the situation. One director willing to try new things, not always successfully of course, is Robbie D., a contract director at Digital Playground. He has long attempted to expand the realm of porn to include sports, particularly at Vivid, but now he's doing his thing with Comedy. In his latest release, Jack's Playground 8: Jesse Jane Be In Da Hizouse!, he gets to showcase a host of hot women and even the company's top contract star, Jesse Jane. The idea of a man convincing women to strip and have sex in order to break into the music video business is quite acceptable, especially since more often than not, it works with just the right blend of comedy and sex to make me keep coming back. If this sounds good to you, read the following breakdown of the scenes by cast:

Scene One: Corina, dressed in slut-wear and ready to rock, blew Eric with some measure of enthusiasm. She's a really lean gal and knew how to milk a nut. After giving some oral pleasure, she climbed onto his lap and slowly rode him in cowgirl position, missionary and then took a load to her mouth. She swallowed the load at the end, something I didn't expect from a Digital Playground release.

Scene Two: Delilah, a very attractive blonde with nice curves was up next in a scene with Sergio on a bed. She gave him an okay blowjob, not as good as the last scene but enough to warm him up, and then boned in several positions. She actively participated in the intercourse, making that aspect of the scene very warm for me. It ended with a load to her face and I hope to see more of her in the future.

Scene Three: Sophia, the hotty on the left side of the front DVD cover, and Barrett, had a scene on a couch. The sexual formula remained the same as she blew and then rode him. I liked the way she was grinding her hips into him and bouncing on his lap more than the perfunctory oral she provided and her heaving gasps for air added some heat for me too.

Scene Four: Martina, a blonde hotty that could give Jesse a run for her money, pranced about for the camera and masturbated. I wish she took on a partner, even Jesse herself, but it wasn't meant to be. All we got to see was some fingering action, barely enough to get me ready for some real action.

Scene Five: Dominica, the attractive brunette on the front DVD cover, had a scene on the couch with Eric, that started off with him rimming her from behind. She reciprocated by giving him some good oral loving and then proceeded to ride his lap for a while. Her ass is fantastic and watching him spread it was a joy to behold, although her doing some PTM (pussy to mouth) before another position rubbed me the right way too. It ended when he jerked his load into her mouth and onto her face, making me want to see more of this gal too.

Scene Six: Jesse, Lonnie, and Penny, all played naked Twister for Robbie and then gave him a show worth watching. There was no meat here, nor were there any toys, just licking and fingering, but they all looked great. I think they liked the action and got off but it would've been better if it lasted longer.

Summary: I think this volume is worth a rating of Recommended or better because the cast of women was great, the sex decent, and the comedy good enough to keep you laughing between the sex scenes. I'd prefer a bit more footage and better extras before seriously considering a higher rating but compared to many competitors, this was well worth watching. There was a spontaneous nature to the sex, something that added to the replay value, and if Robbie gets to add more to the show, I think he may even win over critics like myself who want to see lots of fuck for the buck (protecting consumers as we go).
