Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 ratio color. There was more grain and video noise than earlier volumes in the series but overall it looked similar to Jack's Playground 1, the initial volume of the series. There were no compression artifacts and the quality was pretty good for this type of show. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital surround English and actually sounded pretty good, albeit with some minor weaknesses.

Body of Review: One of the biggest problems with porn today is that few companies are willing to experiment with new things. For some reason or another, the popular belief is that there is nothing new to show and all the formulas followed are the result of years of trial and error, so any changes are going to reduce the value of the latest releases. Needless to say, such thinking is wrongheaded and silly. Every single consumer has a different idea as to what is "great" porn and to think the very limited formulas most companies rely on as being the ultimate achievement in getting consumers off only perpetuates the situation. One director willing to try new things, not always successfully of course, is Robbie D., a contract director at Digital Playground. He has long attempted to expand the realm of porn to include sports, particularly at Vivid, but now he's doing his thing with Comedy. In his latest release, Jack's Playground 9: Montel Is Gettin' Wiggy Wit It!, the story centered on Lee Stone getting kicked out of his house by Katsumi, and how he freeloaded off Jack like a bad guest would do. If you've enjoyed the weird blending of humor and sex in past volumes, you're going to like this one too since the jokes were more often funny, thanks in part to Lee's deadpan sense of delivery. Scene One: Kimberly, a blonde gal with fetish attire on, jumped at the chance to take on the massive Lee on Robby's sofa. She blew him with some good energy and he ate her out in earnest. They did tease one another a bit and he gave her what amounted to a grudge fuck with a pounding action in several positions. Some of you will like the PTM action but I liked the standing screw since it played to their strengths. It ended with the usual pop shot and I thought it was the best scene of the movie.

Scene Two: Devon, a busty gal with solid oral skills, did Eric on the couch after convincing Robby that she's a psycho. First she gave him head, nestling his cock between her breasts so that she wouldn't have to use her hands, then, when he was as hard as a rock, he boned her from behind, showing off her ample ass, as she returned his thrusts one for one. Scene Four: Shawnie was up next in a scene with the massive Lee. She's a bleached blonde with a nice set of breasts but a lean body. She took to Lee's penis like a fish to water and while she couldn't take all of it inside her mouth, she did what she could with his large slab of meat. Scene Five: Jacqueline, the black haired gal in the middle of the front DVD cover, had a solos scene after getting naked for Robby. It didn't last long and you'll be disappointed if you want to see her screw another human (male or female) but that's part of the charm of the series, never quite knowing what you'll get from the cast.

Scene Six: Katsumi, all dressed up in a skirt and see through blouse, decided to have sex with the massive Lee after a bit of drama. She's the featured performer on the front DVD cover on the right side. They started off by kissing to make up and then he orally prepared her round ass for the coming bonage. She then sucked him off while he ate her out and before I knew it, she was energetically riding his penis in her pussy. After some of that, he took her ass, plunging it deep inside her for the camera, and she gave it some ATM action before another round of riding. It ended when he rubbed out his load onto her face.

Summary: If you enjoyed Volume 8, you'll enjoy this one too since it combined the humor and sex that the series has been incorporating into the various volumes since the beginning. The humor was better here but the sex was a bit mixed yet I found it had some decent replay value, enough to rate it as Recommended, even with the technical issues. In all, Jack's Playground has a lot to offer those of you who are tired of formulaic porn and it gets better with each show.
