The Movie:

Another Suze Randall DVD from Pure Play Media? Sign me up. Suze is one of the coolest director's working in the biz today, and her films always feature good-looking women doing interesting things to their men and to each other.

Chapter 1 – Justine, Katsumi And Ben English: Katsumi has Justine locked up in a cell, begging her to let her go. Katsumi obliges, and the two girls start to get it on. The two leather clad ladies use a pink vibrator on each other until Big Ben English shows up to use his do his thing. An enthusiastic threesome happens, with the girls taking turns on Ben and each other. Video:

This film looks like it was shot on reasonably high-end digital video gear, much like the other Suze Randall material I've seen. The picture is stable and consistent throughout with nary a hint of compression artifacts to be found. Skin tones look nice and natural and there is a surprising level of detail noticeable on this transfer. There is some edge enhancement and mild shimmering in few scenes but it's minor and doesn't take away from your enjoyment of the movie at all.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 track is fine and gets the job done adequately. Bass hits the subwoofer nicely and makes it move a little bit and while dialogue is scarce, what is there is perfectly easy to understand. The various moans and groans from throughout the film are never overshadowed by the background music and there's very little to complain about on this mix. The soundtrack is above average for a straight to video adult title and this DVD does a nice job of showing that off without going overboard.

Extras:

First up are interviews with three of the performers – Ander Page (10:18), Victoria Zdrok (9:17), and Justine (7:45). The majority of what's talked about is the women's experiences with some of the S&M themes that are running through this video. All three women are interviewed in various stages of undress and the interviews are spiced up with some clips here and there.

A Bonus Scene comes in the form of a 4:45 clip of Victoria Zdrok using a vibrator on herself, while dressed up in some fancy French style lingerie. Aside from that there three trailers included - Addicted To Sex, Too Naughty To Say No (a nice vintage film from 1985 featuring Ginger Lynn Allen, Angel, Bunny Bleu and Jamie Gillis – a great cast!) and Undressed And Oversexed, all three of which Suze Randall directed. Rounding out the extras are a weblink and photo gallery consisting of stills of the performers in action, roughly 25 images included inside.

Final Thoughts:

The more of Suze Randall's material I see, the more I like her style. She's got a keen eye for filming racier sex scenes with a little bit of class. Her films have good production values and inspired performers and while they do delve into some kink, they never seem tasteless. Suze Randall – Dark Side comes highly recommended.
