Extra's: I hear the two disc set had some great extras but since I was only sent the disc having the movie on it, I'm unable to honestly evaluate any extras that might be contained in the set. If Red Light District corrects this oversight, I'll update my review accordingly.

Audio/Video Quality: Ass Obsessed 3 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in when director Erik Everhard went on his globe-trotting expedition earlier this year. Like many of the recent Red Light District releases, the lighting was off a bit and that caused some grain and other visual defects. While not particularly bad in this case, it did weaken the heat a few times when the zoomed in crotch shots were shadowy and the resulting video noise became bothersome. Some judicious editing (the deleted footage could've been kept on the extras section) might've helped this aspect of the movie but even the DVD mastering seemed unable to compensate fully for the amount of material found in the movie itself (there were compression artifacts on a regular basis). The audio was presented in the typical stereo English and while the vocals were clear, there was no meaningful separation between the channels or dynamic range to speak of.

Body of Review: These days, anal sex is almost a given in most porn and the emphasis on some forms of circus act sex lead me to believe that my own love of great asses is similar to that of many other consumers. Let's face it, while some guys love a great chest and others simply need a pretty face to enjoy, who can deny the appeal of a sweet, round, firm ass wiggling in motion as you walk behind it? Thankfully, one of the best gonzo companies, Red Light District, has a plethora of directors that share our obsession for ass and that's why they have now released the latest DVD full of such great ass in motion, Ass Obsession 3. I never saw the second volume of the series but if Volume 1 is any indicator, this DVD was going to rock! With names like Katja Kassin, Lara Croft, and Ellen Saint, I knew I'd be in for a wild ride with this two disc set. Here's what I saw upon watching the scenes:

Scene One: Angelina, a lean and very attractive brunette with an all natural body, started off the show by posing in public to an adoring crowd (even the police officers didn't mind) with a host of amateurs whipping out their…cameras to get some shots of her lovely body. Budapest is such a fun place, yes? She then did the unexpected and began blowing Erik by the statue with a lot of point of view action. He did start nailing her (with PTM action) but they decided to move back to the hotel room nonetheless (there isn't enough public sex in porn these days). Steve and Robert joined the couple as they screwed on the couch, each guy getting some oral attention from her first before the vaginal, anal, and DP material that came next. She did some ATM action as well as swap out partners for a variety of positions before the facials took place. Fans of gapes will be happy to note that there were plenty of those as well in this energetic, chemistry filled scene.

Scene Two: Katja, the lead gal on the front cover, has taken the gonzo world by storm this past year, chalking up a host of fabulously heated performances with a variety of companies. The powers that be tell me she's up for the coveted DVD Talk performer of the year and I can easily see her walking away with it given her body of work in 2004. After giving some tease footage wearing the white fishnet outfit she had on the front cover (along with a neon pink PVC nurses outfit to start), she tended to John's needs as he lay lethargic on the couch of a mansion. Needless to say, her attention was exactly what he needed (what a perfect ass she has!) and after he snacked on her lovely crack, he was revitalized to the point where she could return the oral favor. Erik joined them and the vaginal, anal and DP action ensued but even her oral was hot to watch. While a few of you may not like that she had a bit of meat on her bones, let me tell you once more that she looked very healthy (although I could've done without all the oral taste testing). Fans of circus act sex will appreciate that she did a lengthy double anal penetration (DAP) as few in the jizz bizz could handle. If you're looking for a solid Katja scene to enjoy, this one was a bit rougher than average and just as heated for viewers to enjoy repeatedly. Whew!

Scene Three: Lara, a light haired hotty with an impressive ass, was up next as she teased the camera on a lawn in the afternoon sun. Her skimpy attire was form fitting and the blindfold something a bit different (as she fingered her curvy ass, it remained on her head). Erik joined her and the blindfold came off just in time for her to prove she enjoyed tasting her own ass-juice covered fingers before taking the show in the house onto a bed. She then seemed to fully appreciate him licking her crotch from behind; appearing to get off at least once. He then started tapping her pussy from behind before moving onto other positions (talk about sexual acrobatics!). He eventually got around to providing her with some anal stimulation although I'm of the belief that she didn't like that as much as the oral or vaginal action. She did plenty of taste testing too (Erik even referring to it that way; something few guys mention in porn) but he missed with his massive load to her face (attempting for her mouth) so she sucked him off a bit more to make up for it. In all, it was a good scene although not the best of the show.

Scene Four: Ellen and Liliane were up next with some really hot tease action of their round asses wiggling about as if on fire. The scene soon (too soon for my tastes) had a scenario of one of the gals selling sexual services (of her bound sister on a bed as well as her own) to Steve and Erik for $100 American. Needless to say, the guys took the offer (the going rate in Amsterdam is about 50 Euros so even by European standards, they were getting a bargain) and the oral, straight and anal fun began in earnest. Everyone got to receive some oral too and this triggered a positive response from the gals who worked the guys over even harder. Parts of the scene made me think the gals were really into the guys and other parts made me wonder if they were a bit too distant for my tastes so while somewhat uneven, the overall heat was pretty good here. There were some DPs and taste testing as well as a creampie (that fell on the face of the other gal) but the scene wasn't the best of the movie.

Scene Five: Sandra, a brunette that has established herself as something of a nasty, "anything goes", gal and Trinity, a blonde, curvier gal with an attractive face, were up next as they assumed their natural roles. Sandra took charge, hitting her new fuck toy with a riding crop before donning a strap on dildo, and just when I thought the scene would be a lesbian encounter; Erik, Robert and Steve showed up to offer some real meat. Trinity sucked all of them, including the dildo, but it was made clear that Sandra was going to suck man-meat too and she didn't seem to mind one bit (in fact, she gave better head than Trinity). The cast then broke off into a pair and trio (although that changed several times too) and the usual forms of sex took place. Sexually, Sandra wasn't as nasty as she usually is but Trinity made up for it as she aggressively fucked herself silly with the guys providing the poles on which she impaled herself. There was a lot of anal and DP material here too and the gals made it clear that they'd be hurting for a week after this one. Yum!

Summary: Ass Obsessed 3 is exactly what was advertised and I have to admit that the single disc version I saw was pretty compelling to watch. If the extras are even close to what the DVD cover advertised, I can easily see the release getting a great rating but I don't feel comfortable rating it as anything better than Recommended since a few technical problems and lack of heat in a couple scenes combined with the lack of extras kept me from knowing the full value of the movie. I have to admit that Erik makes a fine director of gonzo porn and the cast he assembled here was truly solid in terms of ass action so I'm hoping that the extras will be enough to push it over the top. If you enjoy ass, you could do a whole lot worse than this one though so check it out!
