Extra's: The main extra was a whole disc of solo scenes focusing on tease of all the gals in the movie, including, and in order, Nautica Thorn, Finesse Navarro, Veronica Lin/Lynn/Lee, Loni, Kia Tolentino, Mika Tan, Kianna Dior, Jade Hsu, Lucy Thai, Naomi Marcella, Jayna Oso, Charmane Star, Lily Thai, and ending with Tera Patrick herself. It lasted 106.5 minutes long and most consumers are going to like the way it was set up with Tera reading off a short biography of each gal as they had their individual segments. Fans of Asian gals will like the bonus disc as much as most releases starring the gals. The only other extra was a photogallery but the bonus disc was very well done, even if the scenes were too heavily focused on the close up shots employed in the main feature too.

Audio/Video Quality: Reign of Tera was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by Tera Patrick's significant other, Spyder Jonez/Evan Seinfeld. Having witnessed his past work, I wasn't hopeful about the quality of this release until I actually saw it. In short, while there were simplistic camera angles and sophomore mistakes made, it actually looked far better than his earlier work with some decent lighting, minimal grain, and accurate fleshtones most of the time. I saw no compression artifacts and even the minor pattern noise in one scene was barely noticeable. The stereo English audio track had too much emphasis on the music and there were times when the vocals weren't quite right but I had to admit that overall, it was a decent effort and I'd never have guessed Evan was in charge of the direction.

Body of Review: Tera Patrick is something of a fan favorite and has been for a long time, perhaps the only true challenger to the throne of porn queen Jenna Jameson that currently exists. Her career has had a lot of twists and turns but her resiliency has been demonstrated time and again, no matter what, or who, was the obstacle. Rather than give you and extended history lesson on Tera's ascension to the number two position in the jizz bizz, I can safely say that I've never seen the appeal of the gal other than having an exotic look. Her sexual skills have long been lacking and she has always struck me as a "looks great, less filling" kind of performer; until now. I was given the chance to see Tera's latest release, Reign of Tera, and found a whole lot to like about it. The technical aspects were light years ahead of the last release and Tera herself seemed more confident and sexually appealing to me than ever before. Further, she must've picked up a few tricks since her onscreen presence was also more appealing and I found myself wondering what took place to cause this great change in her ability. Whatever it was, she really did a solid job sexually in the movie (her acting is still pretty wooden though). That said, here's a look at the scenes of Reign of Tera, the latest release from Vivid Video:

Scene One: Tera, looking better than in her debut for Vivid as a contract performer last year, and husband Spyder, had the first scene of the movie on a couch. I'll be the first to admit that their past scenes have been on the weak side, to say the least. The good news is that either they're working better together; he's learning to shoot better, or some combination of the two (with better editing on top of it). The sex was oral and vaginal only but her oral skills have never looked as well defined and there was more energy in this single scene than in all her material in Tera Tera Tera put together.

Scene Two: Tera, still looking good although tearful over Spyder (Boy, could I work with that one for a long time!), had a lesbian tryst with Charmane on a yellow velvet couch. The scene was fairly limited in that the gals licked and fingered one another without the benefit of toys but Tera didn't shy away from sucking ass and that's a giant leap forward for the gal. In all, the scene was pretty good for most but exceptional for Tera.

Scene Three: Jayna, the 22 year old Malaysian/Irish cutie with an all natural body, has long been known as an anal queen, took care of Tommy, Seth and Peter after they signed up online to give Peter a great bachelor party. Tera watched them over the closed circuit television system and masturbated (a nice way of getting more Tera action I'll admit) with her hand and then a golden vibrator; doing a decent job on herself. Jayna started by working over Peter but the others joined her and the heated oral gave way to some serious screwing in each of her tight holes, making this part of the scene pretty good too; although on a technical note, the DP wasn't shot very well at all. The scene ended when the guys jerked their loads onto her face and upper torso, coating her more than usual.

Scene Four: Nyomi, a 20 year old Indonesian gal with a lithe body and willingness to do anything at all, Lucy, a 19 year old gal from California with thick lips and the ability to suck chrome off a trailer hitch, and lucky Kurt, had the next scene as he tried to drowned his sorrow of a divorcing wife at the brothel. The gals greedily took to his penis as though it contained the gift of life and each took some time playing with it in their mouth before they each took one end of him to work; one doing the face sitting and the other riding him hard and fast. He got to tap both of them and the vaginal sex was only surpassed by the anal. It ended when he blew his load onto both of their faces and they swapped spit a bit to finish him off.

Scene Five: The next scene was a lesbian orgy that had most of the cast getting really playful using toys, tongues, fingers and just about anything not nailed down to get off on. Nautica, Mika, Lily, Loni, Veronica, Kia, Jade, Kianna, Finesse, Charmane, and a few others mentioned previously all participated in the fun. The strap on dildos, pissing (squirting if you believe such a thing exists), and a lot of gal on gal action took place. For the most part, it was well shot although I'd have preferred some long shots added to the mix since there was often a lot of stuff going on that wasn't on display with the noisy bevy of beauties.

Scene Six: This scene was more of a continuation of the first with Tera and Spyder joining in on the fun. The gals were attentive to him and while he's not even close to being well hung, he managed to hold his nut long enough to get many of them in on some "Spyder-man" action if you catch my drift. He only banged Tera but he ate out a few of them and it was visually interesting to watch the group grope take place around their sexual action. I'm not a convert to the Tera Patrick crowd but I'll give her credit for looking better than she's looked in a long time throughout the movie.

Summary: Reign of Tera honestly earned a rating of Highly Recommended for the sexual performances of the entire cast, the variety of sex, the decent extras included, and the production values. If you had asked me if this were possible even a few weeks ago, I'd think you were out of your mind but as a guy that's arguably watched more porn than 99% or more of the general public, I can recognize talent when I see it. If you're a fan of Ms. Patrick, this is your holy grail because she simply hasn't even come close to making anything, with anybody, which surpasses this release. The amount of Tera onscreen is high; the quality just as good and with a few more bits of polish, the next release might even make me a fan. Kudos to those involved with this one as it was one of the best releases I've watched in a long time and fans of Tera or Asian releases in general will want to see what the fuss is about. Wow!
