Extra's: The best extra was the inclusion of a 15 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. It had the usual added on humor (like fart noises when a gal bent over and graphics to accentuate something or other) and gave the viewer something fun to watch in addition to the feature itself. I only wish it lasted longer. There was also the usual photogallery, biographies of Teagan Presley and Jesse Jane as well as trailers to movies like Contract Star, Devon: Erotique, Story of J, Sex in the Valley, Teen America, No Limits, Rush, Virtual Sex with Jesse Jane, Erotique, Jack's Playground, The Hitman, Beat The Devil, Three Timing, Sinful Creations, but that was it.

Audio/Video Quality: Teagan: Erotique was presented in anamorphic widescreen color was an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The show was shot in High Definition by the talented Robby Dallas for director Celeste to be distributed by Digital Playground. Okay, if you've seen some of Digital Playground's recent attempts at stylish photography, you'll know that the lighting, slow motion, and other visual elements were heavy handed here. If you like this type of thing, you'll love it here as the grain, colors, and other aspects of the scenes were very interesting to look at but not in the way I prefer. Tastes vary and a female friend of mine that watched it with me said she thought it looked, and I quote, "much cooler than what we usually watch". Men are more interested in seeing visually accurate porn so I'll split the difference in terms of rating the visuals but keep in mind that many people hate slow motion porn, hate darkly lit scenes, and want to see everything going on clearly. The 5.1 stereo audio was solely a music track with none of the vocals that add passion, chemistry, and a sense of connection to the sex although this was another area that my friend disagreed with (claiming she didn't want to hear the same old moans and groans). In the future, I would hope that Digital Playground would perhaps offer two soundtracks, much like Anabolic does; one with vocals and one without.

Body of Review: Digital Playground is one of those high end porn companies that you go to for movies that don't look like they were made on a shoestring budget in a single day. Led by the dynamic duo of Samantha and Joone, the fortunes of the company have definitely risen in recent years as the company addressed a market niche aimed squarely at couples as well as a growing body of contract performers. One of their most well received series, starting out with the Jesse Jane led Erotique and recently moving over to Devon: Erotique, now has a title for fans of the lovely Teagan Presley, Teagan: Erotique. Teagan is the gal that Digital Playground snagged as a contract performer after she had already made numerous gonzo productions elsewhere; contrasting with Jesse Jane who started fresh with the company. Now sporting some modest implants, the young Houstonian has brought even more fans to the company, allowing it to grow at a time when most porn producers are scrambling for their tiny piece of the ever crowded gonzo market. Like the Erotique series as a whole, this latest venture doesn't have a lot of circus act sex, isn't designed for the raincoater crowd, and seems to be more than the sum of its parts. If you've liked the previous volumes, you'll likely appreciate this one too so here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action to give you a better idea of what's in store for you:

Scene One: Teagan Presley, the hot blonde lead performer from Houston, Texas, was up first in a scene with Scott Nails on a bed. Her body was wrapped in plastic wrap and she wore a tall bondage collar that looked good on her. The two did some oral on one another in slow motion before screwing in a similar fashion. The vaginal screwing didn't last long before he took her ass with her riding in reverse cowgirl. The visual background of the scene (bright green wall on one side, red brick wall on the other and white columns spread throughout) was different but I really couldn't get into the stylish aspects since slow motion and a lack of verbal queues hampered the heat for me. It ended with her taking his load into her mouth but she didn't swallow.

Scene Two: Nautica Thorn, all dressed up as a geisha doll in a kimono, was up next with Jean Val Jean dressed in a more contemporary fashion. He slowly seduced her with his tongue and hands, allowing the viewer to see she wore a rope style outfit underneath her dress. After warming her up some more, she returned the favor by blowing him and then riding his meat in several positions. The slow motion worked a bit better this time as her ass bounced up and down but I still would've preferred it done in real time. The little cot they screwed on seemed limiting as well but otherwise it was okay and ended with the usual facial.

Scene Three: Jesse Jane, looking ever so fine as she showed off her hoop skills, and Teagan Presley doing likewise with Sandra Shine coming in third, wore skimpy outfits as they warmed up for the camera. I was never very talented at using a hula hoop but I could still appreciate the tease factor running on high here before the gals (Jesse and Sandra) joined together for some lesbian fun with the toys. I might've liked it a bit more if Jesse wasn't constantly snarling, if Teagan joined them, and there was more than just the two of them masturbating beside one another, but it was fun to watch.

Scene Four: Keri Sable, an extremely attractive blonde with an all natural body, was up next as Jean Val Jean simulated urinating on her. I can see Wicked Pictures signed her up as their next contract gal but the pissing theme really didn't work for me (on either side of the equation). They shared some sultry oral moments on one another but it was too short for me to fully get into and the vaginal boning was far better, even though it was in slow motion. I look forward to her future work with Digital Playground although perhaps it'll include longer, normal speed scenes (I'm thinking a few features and a lengthy Teen America skit. It ended with him rubbing out the usual complimentary load and showed some nice chemistry (not easy to do in slow motion).

Scene Five: Jamie Lynn, wearing a Marie Antoinette wig, some jewelry, and red stripper shoes and way too much make up, was up next in a bathroom scene where she masturbated in a tub of milk (at least it looked like milk). This is probably the only time slow motion should be used in a porno and while she wasn't my favorite gal in terms of looks, she did a decent job here. There were no toys employed here and the slightly soft focus appeared intentional.

Scene Six: Teagan Presley, looking very hot (as usual), wore some ruffled garb as she played with studly Mick Blue on a bed. I emphasize "playful" because that's how the scene came off throughout the action and even her modest implants looked good here (I prefer natural breasts but admit they have been done proportionately compared to some of her associates). The scene was oral and vaginal only with the usual pop shot to the face at the end but I think the two worked well together. I only hope they also get a chance to work at regular speed since the slow motion was very old by this point.

Scene Seven: Sativa Rose, all trussed up like a stuffed pig on the dinner table with an apple in her mouth and her hair braided like a cross between Princess Leia and Minnie Mouse, was up next with Scott. The sex was messy, sweaty, and even more playful than the previous scenes. Sativa is quickly becoming one of the most sexually reliable (in terms of heat and chemistry) performers in the adult entertainment industry and I wasn't disappointed with her performance here. The same technical matters arose for me but my eyes were glued to the screen as they went at it in the typical manner (oral, straight, facial) used here; leaving me wanting more but satisfied at the same time.

Scene Eight: Sandra Shine was up next as a dominatrix to lovely Teagan Presley as seen on the front DVD cover. While only a lesbian scene and very limited in terms of the role playing allowed here (Teagan's eye patches were interesting, as was the plastic paddle), I think Celeste hit on something needing more time to develop in future efforts. Admittedly, the majority of the scene involved the gals posing in one fashion or another but if the bondage were played up more (this was an issue in Celeste's Story of J too), I think it would elevate the action a whole lot, even though the scene was pretty passionate as shown.

Scene Nine: Teagan Presley, looking far more like a mainstream actress than a porn star, appeared next in a solo scene that centered on her appearing like a deleted character from the Austin Power's Gold Member movie as she brandished a handgun in her slinky gold toned metallic dress on a lambskin covered bench. This would've been sooooo much better if the vocals had been left intact since I could almost hear her moaning as she rubbed herself the right way. Oh well, fans of Teagan's will like it nonetheless (maybe as much as I did, for all its' limitations).

Scene Ten: Jayna Oso, the raven haired honey, Teagan Presley, the lead babe of the show, and Mick Blue, were up last in a scene that looked like it came out of a Madison Avenue advertising firm for all the advertising it did (covering the gals with press clippings of Digital Playground and it's contract performers). Sexually speaking, it was kind of standard fare until Jayna took the anal and Teagan did some ATM with Mick's dick but there seemed to be more passion here that was understated and less open chemistry than a few of the other scenes.

Summary: Teagan: Erotique was worth a rating of Recommended for the great cast, the numerous settings of an erotic manner, and for some of the creativity displayed by those making it. The technical limitations kept me from giving it anything higher than that although this is based as much on personal taste for less stylish visuals and auditory matters than were offered here. The erotic nature of the release will likely work far better for couples (whom I suspect this is aimed at) than it did for me but I sensed a lot of work put into this one that might've swayed me had I been less critical (most of you would be far more forgiving) of aspects that have long bothered me. Even Andrew Blake's erotic works (that this one seems to routinely emulate) fall short to those of us having seen it all so your mileage will definitely vary. In short, Teagan: Erotique provided a lot of interesting sex scenes with some of the hottest gals in the business, but it was geared to a couples audience. Perhaps when the HD technology improves and Celeste manages to find just the right balance between style and passion, we'll all be on the same page.
