Extra's: The best extra was a Behind the Scenes feature lasting over 26 minutes. It had the usual goofing off, some goof ups (that glass dildo must've cost a couple hundred bucks), and some sexy footage of the gals. In general, I actually liked the BTS feature more than the movie itself but your mileage will vary according to how much quality porn you watch. There were some trailers, a photogallery, and some spam as well.

Audio/Video Quality: Julie's Back: The Return of Julie Meadows was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as directed by Roy Karch for Sex Z Pictures. In a few scenes, the colors were too saturated and the entire movie had lots of shadows from improper lighting, but I think the camera angles and close ups were the most bothersome to me. I've long held it was important to compose the shots in a manner most complimentary to the gals in a porno so when this aspect isn't as good as it should be, I fuss about it. On a positive note, there were no obvious compression artifacts and only a few scenes with moiré and video noise but the people making this one are very well respected at their craft so I wondered what happened. The stereo audio was fairly basic as well with some music playing during the scenes and a wide variety of levels on the vocals. There'd be times when you could hear the spanking as a loud, thunderous clap while the vocals were whispers so more work here would be nice in future outings too.

Body of Review: One of the most constant things about porn is the way that the performers seem to come and go (no pun intended) over the years. As long time gals like Jenna Jameson and Sydnee Steele are just about to retire from making porn, other gals will rise to take their place and this happens all the time. Some of the time, the gals make a come back and that's the focus of this movie, Julie's Back: The Return of Julie Meadows by Sex Z Pictures, starring the hot young gal with a mane of light colored hair, Julie Meadows. I've long been a fan of this gal, going so far as to hook up with her in Houston when she feature danced at a local club (and she gave great dances folks, see her if you get the chance), and thought she found something better to do with her time but thanks to Sex Z Pictures, she's been given another chance to entertain the masses with her hot body and seductive moves. If you're a fan of Julie, read on for a description of what took place but keep in mind this wasn't exactly her best work:

Scene One: Julie Meadows, the hotty on the front DVD cover, Naudia Nyce, a lean brunette that has a similar look to the infamous Belladonna, and studly Kurt Lockwood, were up first with the gals blowing him as he made suggestions for where his finger should go. Unlike so many other guys in porn, his vocals weren't over the top and this helped the scene a bit as the gals slobbed his knob. The idea that the scene was part of a porn set, with no pretense of "art" was nice, but when Julie left the action I felt a bit cheated. Naudia kept the torch burning though as she took him in her pussy and ass, doing some taste testing (ATM and rimming him) before he rubbed out a load. The energy levels were decent but the camera work wasn't all that complimentary to the women, using far too many close ups and having too many shadows but fans probably won't mind it as much as I did.

Scene Two: Nicole Brazzle, a very attractive blonde with an over the top southern accent, was joined by Gothic looking Candie Delight after warming up Barrett Blade with some heated oral and a minor titty fuck. Candie's participation was limited to some joint oral and a bit of the old in and out, after which Nicole took over completely. Both gals looked much like house strippers and while I didn't think the trio had much chemistry, they performed as expected with some solid energy. Fans of the gals will like the way in which they kept up the dirty talk but the basics were all that was offered here.

Scene Three: Gia Jordan, a curvy brunette that appeared easily distracted, masturbated on a couch while the lovely Julie Meadows acted as a fluffer to Jim Beem (I believe it was him, there were no credits and I had to use the process of elimination with a few other guys I'm only sort of familiar with). Julie's oral skills are well known in and out of porn circles but sadly enough, she was taken away from the scene by director Roy Karch (a pox on thee sir!) and the other two had to take over from there. They each gave okay oral to one another and he boned her pussy and ass (with ATM). The energy built up over time but this was another cold scene in terms of chemistry. I know the gals are there to make money but preserving the illusion that they also like it and their partners makes a scene much better. It ended with a facial and she licked him clean if that helps you any.

Scene Four: Julie Meadows, looking hot in her black & pink underwear, and Candie Delight, in her fetish outfit, started off the next scene by talking about porn in general before jumping Andrew Andretti and Seth Dickens on a large bed. The men were strictly meat puppets here (more so than any other scene except perhaps the last one) and basically went through the motions with Julie playfully leading the quartet in the action. The technical aspects really hampered my enjoyment of the sex (too dark, bad camera angles) but I'd be lying if I said Julie didn't look as good as ever. The oral, straight and eventual DP by Julie were easily the highlights for me but some of you will like the double load she took. As a point of interest, Candie kind of faded off after Julie got going but that's okay since Julie's the one everybody wants to see.

Scene Five: Nyomi Marcella, an attractive Asian gal, and muscular Tommy Gunn were the last couple joined by Candie Delight on a bed, and this time she finally got some decent action. By this point in time, I figured that she must be related to the producer or something since she was so heavily used here but she sort of vindicated herself by having almost as much fun as Julie did in her scenes. It was oral and straight sex only (okay, a bit of lesbian action too) with limited replay value.

Summary: Julie's Back: The Return of Julie Meadows was only worth a rating of Rent It to me, despite my desire to see Julie Meadows in action once more. There were technical glitches, limited heat between many of the cast, and a general lack of passion that all the acting in the world couldn't convince me to sing the praises of the movie. I liked the BTS feature better in most ways than the actual sex scenes and that should say a lot considering the sex is what we get porn for. In short, Julie's Back: The Return of Julie Meadows had limited appeal although I'm sure Julie's next work will shine if given proper attention (she really is "that good" when given the chance).
