Extra's: Other than a lame photogallery, the only extra included here was a decent scene between Lauren Phoenix, Scott Nails, and Robert Rosenberg that lasted 14.5 minutes long. It included a DP and all the trimmings after starting out as a parking lot question asked of her.

Audio/Video Quality: Big Gulps 1 was presented in non-anamorphic widescreen color with an approximate aspect ratio of 1.78:1. None of the scenes looked particularly flattering of the gals although the general quality of the scenes wasn't all bad either. There was some grain, minor lighting and compositional issues, and times when the colors were too saturated. I couldn't tell if the material was all unique to this release or if the blowjobs were all taken from other releases but even the worst one looked pretty good in terms of quality of action, if not technical quality. I saw no compression artifacts or major video noise so that was good news but I've seen a lot better from A&E over the years as well (I believe that Bad Seed is wholly owned by the company). The stereo English audio was generally a step better than the picture with each gal being very easy to hear as she coaxed her partner during the tease footage before the sex. This was another strong point in terms of the action, although the scenes were kind of generic (following a formula for the most part). There wasn't much separation between the channels or dynamic range worth mentioning but even the blind will be rubbing out loads to the vocals here.

Body of Review: A lot of porn watchers out there appreciate a great blowjob scene as an end onto itself rather than just a warm up for some generic formula that starts off with oral, proceeds to vaginal, and then either has anal or a pop shot to the face. In real life, a talented fellatrix is worth her weight in gold and my experience with women tells me that once a gal locks a guy up (either with a wedding ring or by moving in with you), the mouth only opens up to give massive amounts of unwanted advice about all sorts of subjects. This is not to over generalize since a great many women recognize that giving a decent blowjob is akin to offering up your ass for your lover's pleasure but too many gals have hang-ups that preclude them from actually enjoying the act of oral sex (giving or receiving). This is a shame since the sheer act provides a woman a tremendous amount of control over a guy but I suppose societal programming is to blame and that's why I typically endorse people to learn to enjoy themselves while they can. This background data all leads me to today's review of Big Gulps 1, a blowjob only DVD from the newly established Bad Seed (an offshoot of Adam & Eve).

The movie follows the time tested formula of offering up a bit of tease before a gal drops to her knees and works a guy's penis over to the point where he pops a nut all over her face. While the box and credits listed three separate directors, the action was almost perfectly in tune with a formula that each used to showcase the oral talents of the cast. I'm not going to repetitively describe each sex act since they were all so similar but a few of the gals did provide better than average energy, including Katja Kassin, Gia Paloma, Tori Lane and Shy Love. None of the others were bad at their craft but these four managed to get me dripping wet and in need of relief so I have to hand it to them in that regard. Here's a breakdown of the gals by scene, noting that the men weren't generally observable (other than their cocks), and that each scene stopped with the facial worked out of the meat pump orally:

Summary: Big Gulps 1 is not going to overtake some of the gonzo oral movies from Evil Angel or other companies in terms of raw energy or heat but I'd be remiss is I didn't point out that for all the limitations of the DVD (short length, weak extras, some technical matters), it was well worth watching at least once and in some cases the replay value managed to elevate my expectations more than a little bit. I would've preferred more tease action taking place at the beginning of the scenes and I might've asked the directors to fix the lighting (as the source of most visual flaws) but it was easily worth a rating of Rent It in my book. Some of you will like it even more and I have to admit that not advertising Katja Kassin anywhere on the cover (she's currently one of the most sought after gals in the business) was pretty bold but the often POV nature of the scenes was pretty good and a nice template for later volumes in the series.
