Extra's: The best extra was the 27.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature as it gave the cast a chance to shine without sounding as whiny as they did in the 23.5 minute long set of interviews. In each of these two extras, the cast was allowed plenty of time to talk and get to say hi to their fans as well as show why they aren't all rocket scientists. There were also trailers, limited cast biographies, a photogallery, and a double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Shane's World 37: Country Girls was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by some unknown director. I thought the colors were accurate, the grain minimal in most scenes, but the overall visual quality of the movie about the same as some of the weaker volumes in the series. The lighting was often too dim and the shadows covered the genitalia I like to see though the composition of the shots seemed to work well for the majority of the cast in the scenes, a step up from earlier volumes. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio was decent but I didn't notice a lot of separation between the channels (the center channel provided pretty much all of the sound) and the dynamic range was about average for the series. The technical values in general were decent but a bit more work might help them even more in the future. There was a lot of wind noise this time and the vocals were about average this time.

Body of Review: One of the most interesting series I watch these days is the Shane's World series for the simple fact that it doesn't follow such a rigid formula and the traveling theme of the main series is always cool (certainly better than the generic motel rooms most pornos use). The latest volume in the series is Shane's World 37: Country Girls, a nice change from the nerdy volume I actually still like and saw last in Shane's World: Nerdz. This time, the cast and crew went to the wide open spaces of Montana, picking up guys and having fun along the way. Keeping in mind that the sex was good and the silly antics as funny as I've seen from the series (seeing the fish out of water, no pun intended, is always cute but was great here); here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms weren't used:

Scene One: Tory Lane, the 22 years old brunette with large breasts shown on the front DVD cover, was up first in a little scene by the bales of hay on the farm with Mr. Pete. There was nothing better to do since there was no television, little radio, and no cell phone service so the two enjoyed sex outside in plain view. Unlike most outdoor porn scenes though, there were no fences or other barriers to seeing them in action (other than the hay) but the nearest neighbor was probably miles away from the desolate "spread" so it was safe. The scenery was fabulous but her skills were enough that I wasn't paying much attention to the great outdoors as much as the action between the couple. Scene Four: Alexis Malone, trying to outdo her gal pal, was next up in the van with cowboy #2. He wore a yellow patterned shirt and black hat, seeming to be a lot more sober than the first guy. She also stuck with giving him a handjob and this time they were driving along the road to add some of the dare factor to the proceeding but he was also kind of small if you catch my drift. Her dirty talk enhanced it for me though and she seemed to be the winner of the initial handjob scenes.

Scene Five: Taryn Thomas, the cute 21 year old with all natural breasts, seduced cowboy #3, at the crowded barbeque in front of a lot of drunk, obnoxious guys, convincing him that he'd be better off going with her than sticking around with him pals. He was a tall guy and claimed to play professional football in Europe before settling back down on the farm. She was another who used dirty talk (including whomever he was talking to on the phone) to enhance the handjob and he was longer than the other guys though not really thick. This time, she was the one who appeared to be drunk, and she fingered his ass as she beat his meat intensely. They must've been caught previously because they also drove around during the scene but it ended all too quickly with a nice, messy, load.

Scene Six: Taryn Thomas, still on the make after the handjob, was up next in guest house with Kris Knight, on the simple bed. She was blowing him with some nice action, much like the football player probably wanted, and working on his shaft like a trained professional. It was one of those scenes where you weren't quite sure if the others were cognizant of what was going on although intellectually speaking; the camera must've clued them in (no matter how intoxicated they were). After Tory jumped in for a lick of pussy, they moved to the bedroom upstairs but Taryn was in rare form throughout the movie and this scene was no exception to that rule. She had some bruises and the lack of make up kept her from looking her best but this was the kind of raw energy I liked to see. Yum!

Scene Eight: Jordan Styles, a 23 year old red head, was up last in a scene outdoors with Scott Nails. She inhaled his cock like it was the only thing on Earth she cared about and the two went to screwing with the mountains in the background in plain view. She's not exactly what you think of when you think of the term "porn star", opting more for the gal next door look instead, but she knows how to participate in a sex scene, using all her natural attributes to their best advantage (contrast that to contract stars that look pretty but do little sexually). With some PTM and a variety of positions, the scene eventually came to an end when he frosted her face.

Summary: Shane's World 37: Country Girls was another volume in the series that earned a rating of Highly Recommended as a showcase for the lovely Taryn Thomas if nothing else. The technical matters could've been better and I'd have liked seeing more complete sex scenes with the gals doing the townsfolk but the spontaneity factor was higher here than if they went that direction. In all, I wish I'd been able to see more volumes of this wonderful series since it's a big change of pace from the far too common type of porn you'll find with most other series, making me appreciate the reality television genre far more than the offerings of network TV. If you appreciate the freshness factor as much as I do, you'll find this series well worth checking out.
