Audio/Video Quality: Teen America: Mission #12 was presented in what appeared to be a 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by the talented Robby D. for Digital Playground. The lighting was decent, keeping most of the grain and video noise at bay during the sex scenes. The amount of shadows was also limited, thanks in large part to the seasoned eye of director Robby but also the others who participated on the project. The composition of the shots enhanced the look of the gals in almost every case although the limitations of the gonzo format prevented Robby from truly innovating here. The other good news is that the DVD mastering was as good as ever and I didn't see any compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English where the vocals were likely captured in monaural but the limited music and sound effects were added in on the other channels. In large part, this being a gonzo release means the audio wasn't a huge concern but the vocals were clearly discernable and added to the heat of the scenes.

Body of Review: Several years ago, the Jack's Playground series was launched by director Robby D. for Digital Playground. His goal was to provide a show more interesting than the usual formulaic gonzo stocking the shelves of most porn stores across the country and I think he succeeded in doing so. The series interjects humor and a more random approach to porn; never quite allowing the audience to know what will come next (be it a masturbation sequence by some hotty not all the way into porn yet, a straightforward sex scene, or a comedy routine where a gal doesn't do anything). This enhances the sexual tension somewhat as not knowing what you're going to get tends to work fairly well at keeping you interested. Well, the series has a flaw too; it tends to be very short and the amount of sex you get varies between barely enough and "hey, what the fuck?" That's why the spin-off series, Teen America: Mission #12 is often so appealing; it provides substantially more fuck for the buck, continuing from where Teen America #11 left off in how it showed the continuing adventures of "Jack" a disinherited guy trying to capture hotties having sex on camera, as part of their attempt to win a mythical beauty contest. The premise wasn't nearly as important as the great sex the show offers so here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms weren't used by the men:

Scene One: Time To Play!: Jamie Elle, the very lean cutie on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, started off the show by playing on a backyard playground set up in her skimpy shorts and sports jersey. Robby felt her up (you can always tell his hands by the freckles) and was joined by Scott Nails, who took it to the next level with her. She was pleasant in terms of a playful, positive attitude and Scott took advantage of the situation by using tape to tie her up to the jungle gym, spanking her and feeling her up like a guy twice her age would do. They did anal for most of the scene and while she wasn't particularly active during the screwing, she did the taste testing fairly well. It was a short scene though so it served more as a teaser than anything else.

Scene Two: The Candy Shop: Candy Manson, a curvy bleach blonde that looked much like an improved version of Krystal Steal, was up next wearing some bondage gear that accentuated her figure nicely. She also got to work with Scott Nails and he seemed to really get into the tease portion of the scene. There was no interview here, relying more on things like nipple clamps to keep the viewer's interest (it worked too!) before the sloppy blowjob took place. She gave good head, leaving streamers and keeping eye contact, doing him up right before a titty fuck and moderately active vaginal ride. They screwed in a few positions and then Scott rubbed out a load to her face. While not an outstanding scene by any means (her oral was really good though), she showed a lot of potential for the future and I'll be keeping an eye out on her to see how she improves in coming months.

Scene Three: Hicks and Crackheads Need Love Too!: Yasmine Vega, an experienced Latina with large implants and a tight red outfit, spoke little English for the scene but seemed too old for the pageant (though hardly a crackhead). The guys both felt her up but it was Richard Raymond, playing a hick sound guy that liked her stripping skills a whole lot (especially the lap dance). She sucked him teasingly before showing him her meat curtains, going back for more of his shaft that she energetically liked to taste so well. She might have been too old for the show but she knew how to suck a dick; showing more skill than Candy did as she used a slower, sultrier, approach. While I was busy nearly bursting the seams of my pants, they then switched over to vaginal screwing as she continued her aural assault. She's another gal that has tremendous potential that will drive even hardcore raincoaters crazy when she learned to aggressively bounce on a cock but this was not the case yet so while it was a scene worthy of a few loads, it wasn't on the scale that it could have been were she to do more of the work. Scene Five: Ballin' Jenaveve Up: Jenaveve Jolie, the hot brunette featured on the middle of the front DVD cover, was up last this time wearing a school girl outfit consisting of a loose white shirt, black skirt, and no panties as she played basketball. She was stoked up on making it to the semi-finals almost as much as Robby was that she never wore panties. Summary: Teen America: Mission #12 was another bold attempt to refrain from using any of the lovely (and sexually appealing) contract stars the company has to offer, trying instead for the freshness of an assortment of gals that had plenty to appreciate on their own. I have mixed feelings about this kind of thing since I really like their contract stars (heck, how about having Janine play the older sister of a contestant who takes charge of the situation and dominates one of the "sound guys" for an hour?) but I understand the idea of trying new things with new people too. I'm going to rate this one as Recommended since it had some great gals in action (from the beautiful Gigi to the appealing Jenaveve) and sweet tease footage going for it. Better extras might've been nice and a longer running time is always appreciated but while it may not have been Robby's best work of the new millennium, it was far from his worst, providing some nice replay value to stroke to.
