Extras: The best extra this time was easily the 29 minutes of deleted footage from four of the scenes (only Sandra's scene was left out) that wasn't present on the VHS version of the movie (they still make tapes?!?). It had lots of tease and more sexual activity although the technical limitations looked to be the primary reason why most of it was edited out (lots of grain, John Leslie talking, and a variety of imperfections with the source material) but in terms of extras, such footage is great. There was a length photogallery, a cast list, limited filmographies of Evil Angel titles some of the gals were in, a biography for John Leslie, and a cumshot recap, with trailers for shows like Drop Sex 2, Gooble The Goop 2 and Fresh Meat 20.

Audio/Video Quality: Crack Her Jack 5 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by John Leslie for distribution by Evil Angel. As noted previously, John has long since surpassed the desire to show crystal clear visuals, preferring to focus his efforts on the kind of raw energy and rougher edged look that most of his peers only seem to fall into by mistake, though I'll be the first to admit I'd like his movies to revert back to a more traditional well lit approach if at all possible. The levels of grain, video noise, and even pattern effects were higher than I like to see but the action, however marred this way, were still hot. The composition of the camera angles showed some care put into them, making the ladies look their best virtually always, and this is the strength of John's directorial ability more than anything else (as a producer, he also tends to make fine selections of cast). The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio track was as basic as gonzo porn came be, with limited talking going on outside of John's own directions in the background. The cast could be heard moaning & groaning but this was definitely a limited selection based on audio quality.

Body of Review: Evil Angel has long been one of the top gonzo production houses in American porn thanks to the efforts of people like director John Leslie. As a combination, the company benefits from John's years of experience and willingness to expand his repertoire by taking risks while he has the support of a company willing to allow him to do so, even when he doesn't always measure up to previous efforts. Thankfully, his latest movie, Crack Her Jack 5, was better than the last volume in the series, Crack Her Jack 4; in large part due to the casting but also in how the overall DVD was handled. The gonzo flick was designed to showcase a limited number of gals that knew how to tease, paying special homage to their wonderfully full asses, even if all of the ladies didn't do anal. Here's a quick breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that the ladies were often in rare form:

Scene One: Naomi, the gal featured on the center of the front DVD cover (at least her ass was with a better body shot located on the upper left hand corner), was up first in the weight room as she wore the figure hugging white dress on one of the benches to accentuate her curvy ass. Summary: Crack Her Jack 5 was worth a rating of Recommended in large part thanks to the levels of fuck for the buck it offered up with such a fine cast. John still has what is referred to as "The Eye" for shooting attractive ladies at their best, and he was wise enough to provide substantial bonus footage as the primary extra this time. If you enjoy watching any of these ladies in particular, you'll note that the scenes were better than average for most of them and only some relatively minor grain and other visual matters impacted the heat of the scenes. If you like tease and tush, this might be an excellent selection for you to salute with a few dozen loads given the kind of replay value it presented.
