Extras: Disc one of the two disc set had few extras. This included the usual biography for Jules Jordan and a cast list, with some websites for those who care. The second disc had a 27 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that showed some extra sex (that had been edited out of the movie for some reason) and a few of the gals in action. Audio/Video Quality: Tunnel Vision was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as originally shot by director Jules Jordan for distribution by Evil Angel, with the twist that the scenes were shot in the point of view (POV) fashion that has become so popular these days. The use of lighting to set a mood was one of the main stylish concerns for me this time as it prevented the ladies from looking their very best; also introducing more grain and video noise than most consumers, and critical reviewers like myself, seem to appreciate. There weren't any compression artifacts noticed but more attention to the lighting and composition of the shots would've been appreciated this time. The audio was presented in a stereo 2.0 Dolby Digital offering that really didn't use the process very effectively too. This is an area of porn that few get right so I'm not going to bust Jules' nuts over it though there was no separation between the channels, limited dynamic range, and the varying levels of vocals could've been better.

Body of Review: Jules Jordan has made something of a name for himself since starting off as a low level employee to a porn company based in the NE part of the country. Moving into production of movies as a means of exploring his own twisted visions, the diminutive man soon developed a following as he grew bolder and more self assured with the success that seemed so natural for him. Once he moved to Evil Angel though, he really took off as the company sold him as almost the heir apparent to the empire built by John "Buttman" Stagliano, propelling him uncomfortably into the spotlight as he racked up award after award from sources all over the world, including those of us at DVD Talk. Well, he recently left the company, surprising just about everybody in the process, in order to form his own distribution network for his production company but one of his last releases for Evil is the much appreciated Tunnel Vision, a lengthy double disc set that showcases himself and assistant Mario Cassini in the roles of point of view archivists for some of the best scenes made by the man in a long time. Without further ado, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that even the worst of them was better than many of his peers make on a good day:

Scene One: Jasmine Byrne, the lovely Latina hotty on the lower left hand corner of the front DVD cover, was a wise choice for starting off the show as she understands how to use her coy vocals, sultry moves, and playful demeanor as well as anyone else in porn. Summary: Tunnel Vision may not have been Jules' best effort to date but it was certainly worth a rating of Highly Recommended based on the sheer quantity of sex, not to mention the levels of fuck for the buck and quality of the cast. Had a couple more of the scenes reached the levels of the better ones provided this time, the DVD set might even have achieved the highest rating we have on the website, and the technical matters were a cut above what we expect from his material too. In short, whatever the future holds for Jules Jordan on his own, Tunnel Vision will remain a superior effort in most ways, providing about twice as much material as most gonzo titles seem to hold these days (and good stuff too at that). I can't say for sure if he has a few more movies coming out at the company but if not, you can always say he went out with a bang.
