Audio/Video Quality: Teen America: Mission 14 was presented in what appeared to be a 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by the talented Robby D. for Digital Playground. The lighting was very good in all but scene four (my personal preference is for strong, flat lighting but this enhanced the look of the gals better), limiting most of the grain and video noise during the sex scenes. The amount of shadows was also limited (again, except in scene four), thanks in large part to the seasoned eye of director Robby but also the others who participated on the project. The composition of the shots enhanced the look of the gals in every case although the limitations of the gonzo format prevented Robby from truly innovating much here. Thankfully, the goal of gonzo porn is not to be innovative so much as convey heated performances, something this series has long been established as providing in spades. The other good news is that the DVD mastering was as good as ever and I didn't see any compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English where the vocals were likely captured in monaural but the limited music and sound effects were added in on the other channels. In large part, this being a gonzo release means the audio wasn't a huge concern but the vocals were clearly discernable and added to the heat of the scenes.

Body of Review: 2005's Top Porn List) was not the first time director Robby D. won an award and all indications lead me to believe it won't be the last given the way he routinely attempts to provide a slightly different view for porn fans to enjoy. At times, he crosses the line of good taste (this is needed in porn from time to time) or something doesn't quite work out but the end results are more often than not a title that you can pop a nut (or twelve) to but also enjoy as pure entertainment. Such was the case with his latest release, Teen America: Mission 14. The series is best understood as a continuation of the Jack's Playground series; in the original series, Jack (Robby D.'s alter ego) is always scamming women into having sex with his pals as part of a ruse that leads them to believe they might be cast in a music video he's directing. The Teen America variation of the theme is that Jack is interviewing women of all ages for a beauty contest, with each gal trying to influence the results by sexually engaging with his sound crew. It sounds a bit silly but it provides just the right amount of believability, just the right setting, and almost always has just the right casting of hotties that you can pick up any title in the series and find a winner (with a good dollop of humor added in to keep things balanced). If this sounds good to you, read the following breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and the formula employed was just as strong as ever:

Scene One: Sugar Cookies: Brooke Haven, the busty hotty on the middle of the front DVD cover, was up first in the kitchen as she prepared to bake some Nestlé's chocolate chip cookies during her interview. The age question threw her a bit but aside from the innuendoes about her cookies, her catgirl glasses gave her a different look and the food fetish theme played out well enough before she was joined by Chris Charming (also funny was how she took the pan out of the "hot" oven). Scene Three: The Ham: Jamie Elle, the lean cutie on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up for another volume in the series since she has proven to be a fan favorite in the past. She was friendly and had an all natural body, making me understand why she was DVD Talk's Spotlight Performer awhile back, and seemed to appreciate Scott Nails as they pranced through the house. She has a unique looking face that doesn't look like a lot of other gals (adding to the freshness factor) and her playful demeanor made the tease work even better than usual. Summary: Teen America: Mission 14 was not as strong an offering as Teen America 13 for me but it did seem to provide a nice variety of ladies, action, and other factors sometimes missing in gonzo porn. There was clearly a lot of big titty action going on here and my biggest complaint was not towards the production side of the show but that a few of the gals were in need of a refresher course in what works best in a porno. Letting the guy do all the work greatly limits the replay value, even for a hotty that is in limited numbers of titles, and there's nothing the editing or cameraman can do to save that kind of thing. The technical matters in scene four reminded me of some of the older titles in the Jack's Playground series, coming off more as reality television (with all the minor flaws) than most of the scenes in the Teen America series to date. Still, there was plenty of fuck for the buck, a nice selection of attractive ladies, and some decent replay value so I rated it as Recommended. In short, Teen America 14 was playful, spontaneous, and full of the kind of ladies that most men want to fuck, making it well worth your time to enjoy repeatedly.
