Audio/Video Quality: Peek: Diary of a Voyeur was presented in the same 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by cameramen "Sascha Deepwood" and Robby Dallas for director Celeste to be released by Digital Playground. In terms of lighting and sheer quality of picture, the movie was looking about as solid as anything shot for the company in HD with the scenes all being distinctively captured in slightly different variations as Celeste likes to have Robby Dallas do for her. The lighting varied too much to nail it down to a particular style but suffice it to say that the female eroticism Celeste sought to achieve was in full bloom in all the scenes (as always). There was no grain or video noise observed, I saw no compression artifacts, and the composition of the scenes was such that all the gals were made to look fantastic. There was a tendency to over light the scenes (to the point of some harshness) this time but each scene was different to some extent in terms of the technical aspects. Celeste's slow motion, heavily edited visuals (this time credited to Sidney Michaels; whose style seems a lot like Mike Quasar mixed in with Nick P.), and other special effects were also used a lot so make no mistake about it; this was another "love it or hate it" style of photography. It was a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track and had some decent separation and dynamic range, with the various selections providing a nice aural setting for the visuals in the large mansion it was shot in. The down side was, as always, the lack of a vocal track to enhance the scenes via aural communication. The music may have been excellent (again handled by the talented Joey Pulgadas) but like the visuals, a bit of variety in the use of vocals might've been a nice change of pace too.

Body of Review: Sophia Santi is the latest contract sensation from Digital Playground; a company known far and wide for offering up some great ladies in porn. Her previous porn name was Natalia Cruze and she made a couple of weak efforts before catching the eye of the talent scouts signing hotties so after providing some excellent publicity earlier this year at the 2006 AEE Show, the former Penthouse Pet of the Year started actively releasing movies. Her second showcase effort is Peek: Diary of a Voyeur, where she has lesbian and solo action as assisted by some very appealing performers, with the stylish efforts of Celeste in the director's seat. There were no vocals to accompany the slow motion and artistic leanings of the movie's eight scenes (Sophia was in five of them), relying on visual appeal and the interesting musical pieces to provide aural support. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Jana Cova, the blonde on the right hand side of the front DVD cover, and Sophia Santi, the featured new contract star on the left hand side of the cover, were up first in a BDSM scene where Sophia had the lovely Jana tied up on her stomach. Both wore outfits that showed off their incredible bodies and the thematic playfulness shined through the slow motion and other visual effects employed by the Celeste style. Jana was spanked with a fur coat and soon was revealed for the world to see as Sophia presented a dildo for the cutie to suck. While I long to see her handle a real cock, preferably all three inches of my own, the rooftop setting was a nice place to showcase the gals in this lesbian tryst. Jana was soon providing a dildo for Sophia to suck and with some minimal insertion, the opening scene ended. Both gals have the looks needed to become superstars and I hope Digital Playground doesn't take too long to get them exploring more variety in their scenes.

Scene Two: Claire Robbins, a gal that has been presented as a tomboy of sorts in the past, was glamoured up in lingerie and a fur piece for the meaty Chris Charming to partake of in the following scene. He snacked on her ass from behind before she took matters into her own mouth, sucking him off in the slow motion style of the movie (as she masturbated). This led to him giving her the anal hot beef injection, to the stark musical piece playing in the background. It looked to be an active ride by both of them with two positions (reverse cowgirl and doggy) before the facial pop shot. The photography style kept me from definitively speaking on the chemistry levels but she did look better than usual here.

Scene Three: Sophia Santi, looking as pristine as could be, started out the following scene by the fireplace with the attractive Lexxi Tyler. Unlike some companies with stables of contract gals, the two quickly messed up their make up as they kissed and toyed with one another. They exaggerated this and got lipstick all over the place, not caring about the visual perfection earlier releases in this genre tended to favor. The spreading of lipstick on body parts and even using it to write on each other has an appeal to me that I'm not sure where it comes from but couldn't deny I'd have offered to be a billboard for them to use if given the chance. The music was dynamic and fitting, with the gals showing some solid chemistry and playfulness that added to the replay value for me. There was kissing, rubbing, jilling of pussies, and breast play but that was it in this primarily tease oriented scene.

Scene Four: Marlena, a brunette with nice curves and a stripper pole to work with, was up next in a solo scene where she stripped and showed her acumen for coaxing a load all by herself. The booty drop and panty pull worked for me; making me long to see her provide a full set of striptease at a local club (or my bedroom of course). Scene Five: Sophia Santi, lounged on a couch while her topless maid, played by the lovely Jamie Lynn, brought her a red card on a silver platter. Scene Six: Sophia Santi, once again dressed in a revealing black outfit, teased the camera as she smoked a cigarette while sitting in a chair by the picture window overlooking the pool. This was another far too short scene that had me approaching a state of readiness but not there before it switched gears.

Scene Seven: Holly Wellin, a lean gal with light colored hair and leopard print stockings (as complimented by a red satin slip), played with Scott Nails, in the next scene. He was sporting his slightly bizarre Mohawk stubbled head as he took control of her on the couch. Scene Eight: Sophia Santi, looking exotic and perhaps a bit unobtainable, was up last in a lesbian scene with Karlie Montana. The two had some weird make up on (each had a black box on their face) as they teased, spanked, and kissed one another. They gave oral and the metal gate doorway seemed somehow appropriate given the limitations of the cast this time (whoever holds the key, should turn it to free the ladies from their current restrictions). Sophia seemed very severe here and Karlie was playfully enjoying life but the ending credits came too soon and prevented me from doing likewise, ending another Celeste experiment.

Summary: Peek: Diary of a Voyeur was the very best vignette release to date by the incredibly sexy Sophia Santi. As far as rating it goes, this is tricky since it sometimes left me cold but taken in smaller doses provided enough fuel for the fire for me to get a gal pal to sit through it without hitting me. If you like the stylish direction of Celeste, this will be a no-brainer in terms of the kind of erotica many people look for these days (but find little exists thanks to the circus act sex focused on by the masses) but if you're not into the look offered, you'll think my rating of Recommended will be too generous. Celeste is known for a "hit or miss" approach with little middle ground to speak of so be forewarned that fans of the director will be pleased at her latest effort and detractors will offer their usual spiel about the relative lack of meat and substance.
