Extras: The extras were kind of light this time with a 5.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature being the best of the bunch. While Lisa Ann seemed to be the focal point of the short feature, I did notice that co-director Travis Knight took a moment to compliment Jules Jordan (even wearing his logo on a shirt). The rest of the extras consisted of some trailers, a photogallery, and some spam.

Audio/Video Quality: DD's & Derrieres was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as it was originally shot by directors Travis Knight and Gina Lynn for distribution by Exquisite Multimedia. The lighting was mixed since the close ups didn't have any fill lighting most of the time, elevating the grain a bit more than I care to see, but the fleshtones were almost always accurate and the amount of video noise minimal. The composition of the shots was such that the ladies were made to look very good, enhancing them more than a little bit as Travis improves his craft (I got the impression that he did most of the directing while she assisted on producing). The sole exception to this was the fourth scene starring Lisa Ann, with specific comments located there. There were no compression artifacts or watermarks that I could see, marking this as a step forward for his style to showcase the ladies. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English audio tracks were okay and I could plainly hear the vocals of the cast at all times but the music still seemed a bit lame to me; perhaps calling in an outside expert would help. I dare say that the audio held it back more than the visuals this time, but it was a nice package considering the amount of fuck for the buck.

Body of Review: Gina Lynn: Dark Side was perhaps the turning point of the young starlet's career as a truly sexual performer. I had seen a number of her titles previously and found them mostly wanting, though she developed a following based on some mainstream efforts and dancing skills on the exotic dance club circuit too. Still, after Jules was through with her, many thought "where could she go from there" and that could have provided her a nice exit from porn but she wanted more. They rubbed, sucked, and stroked one another; using toys like a strap on dildo to get off with. The vocals were full of dirty talk with the ladies getting a bit over the top at times but the active riding of all three of them made it a very solid lesbian scene to enjoy. If you watch their faces throughout the scene, you'll notice they always seemed to be smiling and appreciating what was going on, elevating the scene a lot in terms of chemistry and heat.

Scene Six: Gina Lynn, now dressed up in a classic red dress that showed off her every curve, wore no panties or bra as she teased the camera in a last solo session. She used a lot of dirty talk again, telling the viewer to stroke their cock in a limited virtual sex style clip. The scene consisted mostly of her wiggling her ass on the bed, pumping it back and forth but never using a toy, coaxing out a load as best she could using her voice and visual appeal alone. Summary: DD's & Derrieres had some technical flaws in a scene but the amount of footage starring Gina Lynn alone will make this a must have DVD for her fans. The levels of fuck for the buck, the casting, and the quality of performance offered by the three leading ladies of the movie were all enough to convince me the DVD should be rated as Highly Recommended. The minor quirks observed and other rough edges did nothing to lower the replay stroke value of the movie so if you have any interest in the three ladies on display (on the front DVD cover), you'll certainly want to check this one out as it had a lot to offer.
