Extras: The best extra by most standards would be the bonus sex scene from Honky Tonk Girl starring Carmen Hart and Tommy Gunn. It was set inside a boxing ring and only lasted about 13.5 minutes but it was fun to watch. I also liked the 21.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Red Ezra for all the fun it offered (the cast seemed to be having a great time as they kid around) but it also had the cast posing during photoshoots and having extra hardcore sex in between the interviews. There were a number of photogalleries and star statistics, two promotional reels, DVD ROM materials like Wicked Awards and Nominations, company profile, casino game, and desktops, a DVD catalog, some spam, and trailers to shows like Sold, All About Keri, Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Secrets of the Velvet Rings, Road Trixxx 3, and others.

Audio/Video Quality: Gossip was presented in the anamorphic widescreen color with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 as shot by director Stormy Daniels for Wicked Pictures. There was some grain and video noise thanks to the lighting but it was a decent looking feature for the smaller budget I believe it had (and there were no compression artifacts observed).The composition of the camera angles tended to enhance the ladies and that was a positive aspect of Stormy's growth as a director. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English with a 2.0 DD German and Spanish track as alternatives. These tracks were solely used during the talking parts as the sex scenes remained in English. Like most lower end Wicked Pictures movies, the audio enhancement seemed added in to a monaural vocal track with generic music; sporting little separation or dynamic range, but it still sounded better than many other smaller companies' works.

Body of Review: Stormy Daniels is kind of the junior league as a director at Wicked Pictures. This isn't a slight on her abilities so much as recognition that the others have spent years slaving away and learning their craft under less than optimal conditions (and the results show) while she was handed the role as part of her performing contract. Thankfully, she has been wise enough to use the resources at hand to provide some very good features, albeit smaller ones, which offer a female perspective. In the fullness of time, I hope she is given larger budgets in which to provide the kind of blockbuster Wicked is known for. Her latest release is Gossip, a porn version of Beauty Shop where the ladies all discussed their sexual adventures. The down side was that Stormy did not participate in the scenes but that's how it goes sometimes. Here's what the cover said about it: "Ever wonder what the girls really do when they get together at the salon? Well, they gossip, of course. The adorable Carmen Hart leads a team of sexy hairstylists as they and their clients share naughty stories and steamy tales of their carnal adventures. From an intense fourway to a scorching girl-girl and a nasty double penetration, these girls aren't afraid to kiss and tell!" That said, here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used on all the males:

Scene One: Carmen Hart, the hotty contract gal on the front DVD cover, was up first in bed as the alarm clock went off and woke her and Jenner. It was her turn to open the salon and he complained so to make things right, she told him it would be okay for her to be a "little bit late". He did some lizard licking on her pussy and she returned the favor with a short blowjob. This led to the couple bumping uglies vaginally in a few positions with Carmen showing some moderate measure of activity when she was on top of him. It was performance sex but she was attractive enough that few of you will care about the lack of chemistry between the couple, ending the scene with an abdomen pop and a kiss.

Scene Two: Jada Fire, wearing a sheer blue nightie in her candle lit living room, was up next with Kris Knight who was home after a six month rotation in the army. He was in full dress uniform and the two tore each other's clothes off though she was the more active of the two by far during the preliminaries. Okay, having been there, I didn't find it believable since he acted like he had been back from a trip to the grocery store for tampons or something but I like Jada's active oral so I was willing to cut him some slack. Her teasing oral was far better than the light touch used in the previous scene and it's always nice to see her titty fuck someone. That led to them boning vaginally and anally, her doing most of the work before he jerked out a tiny facial to her mouth. By the looks of it, he must've found some harem girls overseas and her discussion about "round one" and "six months of pent up…you know" sounded lame as a result. The scene succeeded in spite of him rather than because of his efforts (or lack there of).

Scene Three: Tory Lane, looking like a million bucks in a satiny pink negligee, was up next with bridegrooms Mark Wood and Mr. Pete, to get her revenge on her sister "bride-zilla". She sucked them off with an abandon that put even Jada's scene to shame and they responded rapidly with massive erections. As always, she played the role to the hilt and instilled a sense of passion in the otherwise tame feature with the guys nailing her three holes, including a decent DP, before the pop shot on her face and chest. It wasn't the kind of gonzo sex she generally provides for her more hardcore efforts (and her attitude about having sex with strangers can be shared with this stranger any time she likes).

Scene Four: Roxy Jezel, wearing an oversized shirt and black slacks, got a little bit of a revenge fuck herself with Van Damage in bed after she thought her boyfriend was cheating on her. This was another scene where the two performers acted like they were into one another (note to Kris from scene two; Van isn't the best lay in the world but at least he played the role well enough to instill some sense of believability). They met each other pump for pump and I thought Stormy must've really let them loose on each other given the results. Roxy did anal and took the pop shot well too, ending the scene by confronting her boyfriend in the apartment next door.

Scene Five: Sativa Rose, looking especially cute in her maid outfit, was up next with snooty rich girl Katie Morgan who was wearing a very appealing black dress that enhanced her look. The role playing involved in this lesbian romp was actually pretty warm to begin with and each gal played their part to the hilt. Sativa sucked Katie's pussy superbly on the countertop and Katie's use of the feather duster as a dildo was pretty heated too. It wasn't the most extreme lesbian scene I've watched lately but it was sure a nice one with great replay value for fans of both ladies such as myself.

Scene Six: Alexis Malone, Rebecca Love, Carmen Hart, and Manuel Ferrara were up last as the ladies tried to convert him from gay to straight with the kind of loving their fans wish would've been directed their way. They orally worked him over and he was soon tapping into them in turns to sample not one but three pussies and mouths. The concept was kind of lame but at least he did a good job of it with the ladies picking up some extra loving from one another. The ladies were not equal in how well they provided an active partner but the dynamics of the scene called for them to all provide a slightly different experience for him and they did so in spades. It ended when he rubbed out his load to their three faces, Rebecca getting the least of it as she was on the end.

Summary: Gossip was one of the smaller titles from Wicked Pictures that actually worked for me due to the sexual tension and strengths of the cast more than the way the story interplayed with it or the manner in which the plot would appeal to a crossover audience. I'm a huge fan of the company and have long accepted their niche as being for those who are new to porn or couples but every once in awhile the sex is good enough to pull me in (and I watch a lot of gonzo porn these days so that isn't easy). The plot elements were slight and the heated scenes offered up, along with the extras and decent technical values all made this one worthy of a Recommended from me. In short, Gossip will have fans of director Stormy Daniel's talking about her ever increasing talent to provide nut busting sex at Wicked Pictures.
