Extra's: For most of you, the best extra will be the bonus scene between Carmen Hart and Randy Spears from movie Rendezvous. It looked like the movie would be a lot of fun with the two of them sharing some chemistry as they sucked and fucked so I included a description below. I also appreciated the 14.5 minute long All Access: Behind the Scenes of 1000 Words by Red Ezra. It was fun, had some extra sex footage, and stands up as a solid production that added value to the DVD release. Another fun extra was the short, 1 minute long, Bloopers Reel. There were also a number of photogalleries and star statistics, a classy cardboard protective sleeve, two promotional reels, DVD ROM materials like Wicked Awards and Nominations, company profile, and desktop pictures, a DVD catalog, some spam, and trailers to shows like Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Gossip, The Visitors, Curse Eternal, Hook Ups, and others.

Audio/Video Quality: 1000 Words was presented in the usual 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director David Stanley for Wicked Pictures. The artistic gimmick this time was the use of black & white photography for the non-sex portions of the movie, with no audio during that part either. The use of lighting was moody with the use of shadow nearly as visually compelling this time, lending a slightly saturated color to the fleshtones of the scene. The video noise was minimal and the composition of the scenes was extremely well taken care of, enhancing the look of the ladies in all cases. The editing helped in this regard and the movie struck me as the third (maybe fourth) time I can state that David's attempt at art was successful. The audio was presented with two choices, the primary one being a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English track that balanced the vocals and music nicely. There was also a 2.0 Dolby Digital track with Spanish available for those who care but the fact is that the dubbing seemed to be somewhat weird as I listened, though my Spanish isn't all that great. Otherwise, the audio seemed to be a step forward for Wicked Pictures, even though the vocals were almost certainly recorded in monaural or dubbed in later. Still, the music was well done and the overall quality of the audio was better than average as well (an area that David said he'd be working on). By going with a minimalist style that employed relatively few words, David tried something new and the music largely picked up the slack, even if I would've liked a substantially longer movie in terms of the sex AND plot.

Body of Review: Carmen Hart is one of my favorite new contract performers thanks to her great looks, winning attitude, and her ability to project heat in her scenes that surpasses many of her peers in the industry. She's still new to porn but almost always elevates the heat as much as possible and that's why I was more than happy to review her latest movie, 1000 Words, as directed by the skilled David Stanley. The movie was one of his more artistic offerings of late, with limited vocals that allow the visuals to tell the story. The back cover put it like this: "When photographers Alain (Randy Spears) and Eloise (Carmen Hart) are neglected by their lovers, they explore an erotic relationship from afar as they grapple with strained love and a yearning for each other. Touch replaces speech in this emotionally and sexually charged erotic drama. An experimental, highly and emotional importance of seeing and being seen by the one you love." That said, here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in all the scenes:

Scene One: Jessica Lynn, an appealing gal with reddish hair and a nice figure, was up first as she took care of Derrick Pierce in a graffiti laden pool hall. Randy took a series of stills with his small camera as the couple went at it, with her green dress falling off rather quickly as Derrick prepared to go down on her. His oral was fair but she seemed very skilled at blowing him, using her tongue, eyes, and mouth in unison with her hand. They didn't screw much, just a few positions, but when she was on top; she was actively riding him. It ended with his pop shot to her face but I admit that I wanted a lot more footage of her after seeing this one.

Scene Two: Roxy Jezel, one of the world's leading anal queens, was up next after a short teaser sequence went by to establish Carmen's credentials as a photographer (it was a wasted opportunity to me). Roxy was looking fit and trim, and partner Randy Spears followed the formula with her of both doing some fine oral before some vaginal screwing and a pop shot. The pop this time went to her feet and she engaged him fairly well within the confines of the scene but this was another time when the performers simply weren't given much of a chance to really shine.

Scene Three: Carmen Hart, the hotty contract star plastered all over the front DVD cover, was p next in a scene with Asian Gianna Lynn and established performer Eric Masterson, in another scene that centered on a photo session that evolved into a tryst. The ladies happily shared his cock orally and then each other as Eric tapped into them. Carmen was the most active of the trio and the pop shot to Gianna's abdomen was moderate but if the scene lasted ten minutes, I'd be surprised.

Scene Four: Gianna Lynn, perhaps feeling a little guilty for how limited her action was in the last scene, made up for it by giving Eric Masterson a pretty solid blowjob. I like how the director didn't feel compelled to stick with the formula, trying to vary the sexual activity up a bit by having an oral only scene tossed in here, with her jerking him off into her mouth to finish, but on the other hand, I wish he had made the previous scenes a little more adventurous too.

Scene Five: Carmen Hart, in a pastel "mod" outfit, flirted with waiter Chris Cannon after leaving Eric at the table. She lured Chris into the bathroom where both partners went down on each other in turn. It was even better then the previous blowjobs but that's all that took place, making me hope the ending scene would be especially lengthy and all encompassing given the relatively short amount of sex that had took place so far. If you like blowjob scenes, this was a sweet ride but with someone as great looking as Carmen starring in the flick, most of us probably want a lot more than what had taken place to this point in time.

Scene Six: Carmen Hart, in a stunning blue dress that enhanced her curves very nicely, and suited Randy Spears, were up last as they made it in bed. They did some decent, if not exceptional, oral on each other and the riding wasn't bad either as he pounded her pussy. The active riding she gave still looked hot as her ass cheeks rippled with each pulsating stroke but I could've done without the over use of close up shots employed here. The scene ended with him unleashing a very large load to her chest, with the stylish show going to credits after that.

Scene Seven: Rendezvous: Carmen Hart, almost in response to the last scene and wearing a very nice red dress, started the following scene by blowing Eric Masterson at the front desk. His role as the clerk was hilarious throughout the movie and I thought this was a swell reward for him. Her oral was just as good as Stephanie but the vaginal ride was the most heated of the show. She bounced on his lap by impaling herself and if this is a sign of things to come, the other contract gals at Wicked Pictures (and I'm a huge fan of several of them) are going to need to ramp it up a notch. She was outstanding and able to keep up with just about any of the gonzo queens I've watched in months. They mentioned it during the commentary track and I went back over my original description, finding that the couple and I were in complete agreement over how much fun and wild the scene was.

Summary: 1000 Words was an interesting visual treat but it lacked enough replay value, strokability, and solid extras to rate it as anything higher than a Rent It. Wicked Pictures is better known for their blockbusters than quiet sleepers like 1000 Words and I think most of David's fans will appreciate his vision here but without enough sex to sustain the average viewer, this one will remain a title that many of you will want to check out before buying. If, on the other hand, you're looking for something to introduce a person to porn as something more than just people bumping uglies, this may work out for you better than it did for me.
