Extra's: The best extra was clear the 27.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Max Massimo. I know that a lot of people have bagged on the company for not including any decent extras (me being one of them) so this was a great little piece that added some fun and value to the DVD. Considering how short the movie itself was, the addition of this extra saved the rating (though another scene instead of the included dozen+ trailers would've been an even better idea. The BTS used a lot of the pop up video bits and sound effects some of Robby's comedic movies employ, with Cody Bangs getting punked out (and the company logo used to cover up other company trademarks). I have to admit that the running joke involving Cody and Hillary was great. Audio/Video Quality: Deeper 3 was presented in the same 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director Robby D. to be released by Digital Playground. In terms of lighting and sheer quality of picture, the movie was looking about as solid as anything shot for the company in 720p HD with the scenes all being distinctively captured in varying styles that again reminded me of the Celeste style Robbie records for the erotica series his main squeeze directs. There was again a conscious effort to tone down the Celeste style though and bring in some vocals as well as more straightforward gonzo standards; a pleasing compromise for those of us that prefer the edgier stuff but appreciate the softer material at times too (though I'd still turn the knob a couple more notches towards Robbie's gonzo style for future outings to make it even better). There was no grain or video noise observed, I saw no compression artifacts, and the composition of the scenes was such that all the gals were made to look fantastic. It was a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track and had some decent separation and dynamic range, with the various selections providing a nice aural setting for the visuals in the large mansion it was shot in. The other good thing about this one was that some vocals were employed along with the music, elevating the levels of perceived chemistry for me. The music was pretty solid in most cases too, providing the variety needed to give the scenes some extra replay value. The music was credited to the editor, Kurt Tortcher, and he handled both areas reasonably competently from what I could tell, even if I'm not a fan of porn music over vocals.

Body of Review: Digital Playground has long been a leader in adult entertainment, moving to provide a duality of offerings over the last couple of years with erotica and gonzo their two main niches these days. They still make the occasional feature but guided in large part by lead director Robby D., the company has addressed what consumers want wholeheartedly and the results have been very well received. Robby's latest movie for them is the upcoming Deeper 3 (it should come out at the end of the week), the thematic sequel to Deeper 2 and Deeper, where the ladies were all given to having heated scenes with some of the best known meat puppets porn has to offer. There were very brief glimpses of story and lots of little quirks that few will pay attention to but in terms of strokability, each scene was very solid in terms of giving the ladies a chance to shine. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that there were no condoms used, for those wanting more information:

Scene One: Jesse Jane, having opened the show by flipping through cable channels and playing with a Ouija board on her bed in some sexy white undies (face it, anything she wears is sexy by virtue of her presence), fussed at studly Tommy Gunn until the two of them started playing with each other. The playful banter and bedroom antics led to her slobbing his knob, jerking him off as she straddled his face for a 69. She was very vocal about getting banged and did some PTM with him as well; her most active position being the cowgirl where she impaled herself soundly. The positions continued through to include a doggy bit where he held her throat (I'm sure someone will accuse him of choking her), their bodies glistening with sweat before he rubbed out a load to her face. Yum!

Scene Two: Naomi, wearing some tight white shorts and a red tank top, was up next in the kitchen as she picked up some microwave popcorn to eat while watching TV on the couch. She kept receiving obscene phone calls (not the ones that Robby usually makes to her either) and was soon faced with a horned up Marco Duato/Banderas to contend with as the TV continued to play in the background. The lighting was exactly like it would be in real life (yes, amazingly enough, I've been there more than a few times; those who listen will hear Montel the talking dildo too) and he spent some serious time fingering and eating her out before she aggressively blew him. The fine blowjob aside, the pair started banging hardcore as she followed up the hummer with some very active riding where she gyrated and wiggled on his cock to make it an even more satisfying experience. I know why the scene was lit like this and I admit that it made for a nice change of pace but I still prefer even, flat lighting as a general rule. The scene showed him being slightly rough with her, but she loved it and took the facial well; ending a fine scene.

Scene Three: Hillary Scott, appearing as a Twilight Zone-esque character in sexy white lingerie to a stressed out Scott Nails at the dinner table, was up next as she put her curvy figure to good use. He orally worked her over and she responded well (perhaps fantasizing about Cody licking her ass from the BTS feature), slowly losing her clothing before demonstrating her oral skills being above those of mortal porners. Scene Four: Jesse Jane, walking up to Scott Nails, who continued to have weird visions of brutal events (this time being Marco choking Naomi in the tiled bathtub), relaxed him by climbing into the tub with him. Scene Five: Daisy Marie, al decked out in a black fetish outfit in the bed, was up last as the plaything of muscular Marco Duato/Banderas. He brandished a riding crop and slowly undressed her, giving love taps as he went along. He made no pretense about treating her gently and the arm spreader bar kept her at his mercy. I really liked her dirty talk and the way she pushed back on his rod, giving a sweet performance as he drilled away like crazy on that tight little pussy of hers. It ended when he pulled out and jerked off to her ass cheeks at her request, making all five scenes solid, if a bit on the short side.

Summary: Deeper 3 was one of the shortest movies by director Robby D. and Digital Playground that I recall ever watching and I was about to punish the rating for it when I noticed the excellent Behind the Scenes feature that lasted nearly a half hour. It was funny and fun, showing off the ladies and giving some added value to elevate the rating to a Recommended. Granted, had even one of the scenes been a filler, the rating would've stayed where it was at but aside from my general belief that a DVD should be full of strokable porn and replay value, the entertainment value also counts for something too. It's my belief that if you enjoyed Deeper 2, Deeper 3 will also trip your trigger so check it out when it comes out later this week.
