Audio/Video Quality: Cockasian was presented in the same 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director Robby D. to be released by Digital Playground. In terms of lighting and quality of picture, the movie was looking about as solid as any of the "Jack" movies shot for the company in 720p HD with the scenes all looking like Robby's usual gonzo work. There was no grain or video noise observed, I saw no compression artifacts, and the composition of the scenes was such that all the gals were made to look fantastic. It was a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track and had some decent separation and dynamic range, with the various selections providing a nice aural setting for the visuals in the large mansion it was shot in. The other good thing about this one was that some vocals were employed along with the music, elevating the levels of perceived chemistry for me. The music was pretty solid in most cases too, providing the variety needed to give the scenes some extra replay value. The music was minimal and the lack of special effects added to the heat of most scenes.

Body of Review: Robby D. has recently been expanding outside of his work for Digital Playground by making porn under their exclusively distributed Hand Held Pictures line (owned by Robby if I recall correctly). This gives him a chance to show choking and be a bit more extreme in terms of what kind of sex he shows, as well as go for a different audience than the formerly couples friendly company (they still make such titles but Robby's gonzo work has all but taken over in the last year or so). His latest themed release under the label is Cockasian, a play on the term used for white people (Caucasian) that took scenes from a broad spectrum of time to offer up some of the best single disc value from the company in recent memory. If you like Asian gals, there were some from all sorts of backgrounds and body shapes, marking a change from the usually white bread world the director seems to spend the majority of his time with.
