Audio/Video Quality: Faces of Ass Destruction was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color the scenes were shot in for their various releases over the years (this being a compilation) by director Romulus for distribution by Evil Angel as part of their Buttman Magazine Choice selections. Previous selections like Smother Me and Ass Jazz 4 showed that the company is willing to give new directors a break, even lowering the general quality control levels in order to showcase some fine raw energy. The lighting was not always very solid and that led to grain, video noise, and other issues, with the composition of the shots looking almost like a home movie in great need of editing but the sense of raw energy was still as solid as ever for the series. There was no intercourse in any of the scenes and the cocks stayed in the clothing so if that makes it less appealing to you, walk away now. In general, it looked like someone needed to learn how to work their brand new video camera but showed some potential nonetheless. The audio was presented as 2.0 Dolby Digital according to my receiver but I heard no separation between the channels and I'm of the belief that the original sound was straight from the microphone on the camera. You could hear the background noise and light hum of the camera when the cast was quiet and the vocals were hollow and in need of repair but it was better then droning music being heard as some directors use (the music was limited to the credits of the movie).

Body of Review: Evil Angel is one of the top companies in porn for ass related gonzo productions. I make this observation after years of following their releases, and their recent addition of the Buttman Magazine Choice series to showcase titles of lower technical qualities that show a lot of raw energy, passion, and heat have proven to be exceptional fun for me in most cases. Their latest release in the series is Faces of Ass Destruction, a compilation of five scenes from the Roman Video vaults, designed to appeal to those of you into face sitting and ass worship; using dominant women to force loser men to do their sexual bidding. It would've been more interesting if the formula used sex in some way or expanded on the themes involved (apparently, the original company does offer such material separately for those into it) but I could see the appeal of this too. The cover said it like this: "On your knees, ass worshipers, it's time for church! Your service: five stunning scenes showing six bitchy, dominant, round-assed beauties subjecting meek mooks (just like you) to the divine humiliation of anal servitude. Indeed, POV-style segments put the dominant asses right over your face. Blonde, Russian-born Mistress Victoria Zdrok, a New York pro dominatrix with a Ph.D in psychology, knows how to work wimps. This Penthouse Pet Of The Year 2004 smothers slaves with her big butt, bouncing and riding tongues till the wimps struggle for breath and whimper for mercy. Sandra Romain, one of the most aggressive, nasty ladies performing in video, is a born face-sitter -- she genuinely loves dominating men, and her comely ass springs back to perfection no matter how it's squeezed. Scene Two: One Ass to Rule Them All: Victoria Zdrok, the blonde featured on the front DVD cover (and Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2004), was up next with wussy Aaron Willis in the same setting as the last scene; a low end bedroom that looked like a pauper lived in it when not used for porn scenes. Victoria wasn't as energetic about dominating Aaron but she treated him like crud after she pulled him out of the closet to be her personal vibrator. Scene Five: Lick My Ass 2: Sandra Romain, the Romanian brunette seen earlier, was up next as she talked about how she was going to dominate the viewer with her ass, resulting in a lot more tease then the other scenes before Bubba was brought out in his collar. The colors were far too saturated and he was as big a loser as any of the others in the movie, begging to suck her ass as she forced him to eat her ass. Summary: Faces of Ass Destruction as distributed by Evil Angel will surely find a following for those into ladies dominating men with their asses. Most of the time, such fetish material is relegated to small company niche releases and it was interesting to see such a large distributor giving Roman Video a shot at the big time. I didn't think Faces of Ass Destruction was as much fun as Smother Me but fans of fem-dom will probably like the narrowly defined niche release a lot more than the Rent It that I gave it for the general audience. Mason, Sandra, and Tory were clearly the best of the six ladies in terms of the dynamic offered up and had there been something more to it, better technical values, and more extras, I'm sure it would have earned a better rating but it was still one of those titles you'll either love or hate, depending on your sexual kinks.
