Extra's: My favorite extra was the 11.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by William Default and Jordan James. I know that Robby has never liked providing such a feature since they "ruin the atmosphere" or something but the recent change in attitude towards offering them really adds some value for fans. Audio/Video Quality: Deeper 4 (Shay Jordan) was presented in the same 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director Robby D. to be released by Digital Playground later this month. In terms of lighting and picture quality, the movie was looking a bit less refined than most of the recent work shot for the company in 720p HD; with the scenes all being distinctively captured in varying styles that again reminded me of the Celeste style Robbie records at times. There was again an even more conscious effort to tone down the Celeste style though and bring in vocals as well as more straightforward gonzo standards; a pleasing compromise for those of us that prefer the edgier stuff but appreciate the softer material at times too. This was perhaps the best mix of the two styles I have seen by the director, with an 80/20 split in favor of his gonzo work; using Jim F. and Scott K. on camera this time, both showing a decent amount of skill as they captured visuals in line with what Robby has been providing of late. There was no grain or video noise observed, I saw no compression artifacts, and the composition of the scenes was such that all the gals were made to look fantastic. The fleshtones were not as accurate as pure gonzo but given the sexual dynamics in play here, I doubt anyone will care as the textured visuals offered something different to appreciate. It was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track and had some decent separation and dynamic range, with the various selections providing a nice aural setting for the visuals in the large mansion it was shot in. The other good thing about this one was that vocals were employed along with the music, elevating the levels of perceived chemistry for me. The music was pretty solid in most cases too, providing the variety needed to give the scenes some extra replay value. The music was not credited to the editor, Kurt Tortcher, but they sounded a lot like his previous works and I think he handled both areas reasonably competently from what I could tell, as I'm not a fan of porn music over vocals.

Body of Review: Robby D. and Digital Playground have shown the world that there exists a wide range between the various types of gonzo porn in the last year; offering up a number of experiments serving as a fusion of styles disproving the common logic that "all porn is alike". Robby's latest movie will be coming out later this month, titled Deeper 4; a showcase to the lovely new contract hotty Shay Jordan (as seen on the cover). Like Deeper 1, Deeper 2, and Deeper 3, the movie served as a cross breed project that utilized a variety of techniques to provide the perfect settings to allow the cast to truly shine. In this case, Robby really did provide the "gold" in the sense that each scene worked on multiple levels, repeatedly, in a way that rarely happens. The company advertises the series as: "The Deeper series is shot with all the technical savvy and artistic design of Digital Playground's "Erotique" series, while still encompassing all of the hot passion and sound of today's best gonzo porn." I have to concur with this idea, which was handled better here than previous volumes. If you're still interested, here's a look at the scenes, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Shay Jordan, the stunning hotty on the front cover, was wisely placed up first as she enjoyed some wine with Jerry in a decidedly high end home dining room before the beverage had the intended effect on her. Summary: Deeper 4 (Shay Jordan) by director Robby D. to be released by Digital Playground at the end of this month, wasn't quite as lengthy as I prefer and I'd have greatly appreciated more BTS footage with Shay Jordan but the argument here would be that quality over quantity was in full force. Shay was incredible and the other ladies certainly proved their sexual resumes were in order as they actively worked the cock like they were on fire. In that sense, Deeper 4 (Shay Jordan) earned a rating of Highly Recommended from me as a cut above the pack, a disturbingly heated set of scenes, and the kind of fusion that Robby has sought to provide in the past, hitting his stride yet again with this superior title.
