Audio/Video Quality: Jack's Teen America: Mission 17 was presented in 1.85: anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for distribution by Digital Playground. The lighting was solid here, as expected, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. As is usually the case in the series (and related series), the visual elements of the movie were consciously designed to look as they did with a slightly rough look to support the thematic concept of the show where geeky Jack is trying to score women by use of his possible connections in the mythical beauty contestant pageant. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit too, proving what fans say about the production team led by Robby and Nick with the DVD mastering revealing no compression artifacts. It should be noted that one of the scenes seemed out of place thematically; providing no less of a ride but still outside of the realm of the usual offerings from the series. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it.

Body of Review: Robby D. has probably done more for pushing Digital Playground into a gonzo producing powerhouse then anyone else in the business. The company used to be known solely for their features (which I liked a lot by the way), virtual sex line, and artistic porn but he dragged them into the marketplace with numerous lines relating to his devilish eye and playful appetites; primarily material relating to his Jack series. One of the most popular of the bunch has been the Teen America series that shows an unemployed Jack as the leading interviewer/cameraman for a fictitious beauty contest, where he employs his usual approach of getting gals to have sex as a means of enhancing their chances at winning. The latest in the series is Jack's Teen America: Mission 17, the sequel to Jack's Teen America 16, starring a similar cast and using the lovely Jana Cova as his audio engineer in a scene. Like the last volume in the series, the levels of fuck for the buck were reduced for some reason but fans might overlook that fact given the range of ladies on display here but I'll admit that I was happier when the series lasted the better part of three hours per volume. If you're still interested, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used and that this is the first release of a title with new contract performer Lacie Heart in it, even if she made the scene long ago:

Scene One: Scott's A Biatch: Lacie Heart, looking fine long before she got involved in any contracts, was up in a fishnet top as Jack walked in to find Scott Nails trying on schoolgirl clothing. Scene Two: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun: Jana Cova, playing the hottest audio engineer Jack has ever employed, was up next in torn jeans and a skimpy top with contestant Holly Morgan, who wore an orange bikini. They went inside to the couch and Holly showed her lap dancing skills with Jana as Robby showed why he chose directing over a career in music (he'd never have made it as a human beat box folks). Okay, most people know that I'm a big fan of the lovely Jana Cova and accept her role as the lesbian in the various Jack movies so this role worked for me a lot better then the mope squad members in the same position. Scene Five: What The Fuck???: Holly Wellin, another blonde Brit with a fine body, was up last as she rambled on as though in need of a valium (or at least decaf) while Jerry stood nearby in the living room. Summary: Jack's Teen America: Mission 17 by director Robby D. for Digital Playground wisely employed a star studded cast of attractive women, even if some of them weren't at their very best. Still, the selection of Jana Cova as the featured hotty and the Lacie Heart comedic bit with Scott in drag was cute enough to merit some extra points, making this one worthy of being Recommended. I still hope that more tease is used in the future and that the extras get pumped up or at least the scenes total over two hours like they used to but the quality of fuck for the buck was enough to boost this movie into an acceptable place for such consideration. In short, Jack's Teen America: Mission 17 had all the usual humor, heated sexual pairings, and technical values that fans have demanded of the series, making it a fun trip to enjoy so check it out when it is released next month, especially fans of Jana Cova and Lacie Heart.
