Audio/Video Quality: A Jungle Story was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for release by Handheld Pictures as distributed by Digital Playground. The lighting was reasonably solid here, as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal. The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question; sometimes using a POV angle before the sex took place. The composition of the shots and the editing enhanced the look of the ladies more than a little bit too, proving what this critic has to say about the production team led by Robby (who did all the work except for the slightest bit of polishing up by Nick "The Wiz" P. according to sources at the company and the credits) with the DVD mastering revealing no compression artifacts (the bitrate varying but often staying near the upper 5 Mbps range). The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround (using 384 Kbps) with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it. There wasn't much separation between the channels, if any, but aside from some whispered vocals by the men, the ladies were almost always clearly heard and the thumping beat of the series theme tune.

Body of Review: Handheld Pictures is the brainchild of director Robby D.; a man best known as ushering in a new age of depraved gonzo over at Digital Playground in recent years. The company gives Robby more freedom to try things that don't quite fit the mold for DP, usually resulting in edgy, more sexually passionate scenes. His latest project for the company is A Jungle Story, subtitled as "An Interracial Anal Movie", something I see all the time at various companies in porn but about as expected at DP these days as them releasing a compilation of Devon and Tera's greatest hits with a commentary praising all they did for the company. Seriously though, DP is no stranger to interracial scenes and while I have never liked the term (we're all members of the human race after all), a lot of people enjoy seeing such action. Written by online reviewing legend Roger T. Pipe, who is certainly no stranger to actively participating in productions these days, the movie mixes things up by presenting a variety of races doing each other sexually, not adhering to the outdated notion that interracial means a black man and a white woman. The scenes were not really related to one another in any meaningful way (except perhaps the first and last scene) and I can see why Robby has avoided doing features in awhile if this was the best he could do but the amount of anal sex was more than expected from one of his shows, fans of gals that passively ride cock surely more likely to appreciate this one than I did. A quick look at the body of work he has done for his label (to be released by Digital Playground) shows precious few disappointments and as a fan of many interracial titles of late, I don't think that was the problem for me. In deference to my friend Roger, I really wanted to like this one but rest assured that his writing did not materially impact my rating of Rent It since there really wasn't much of it to speak of. Aurora saved the movie for me and some of the others displayed solid oral skills that worked as often as not but the lack of extras did not help any more than the passive manner in which most of the ladies took the cock during the penetrative scenes so I had to accept that even Robby can drop the ball some times. In short, A Jungle Story had some potential but rarely managed to live up to it as the chemistry was lacking and the performances seemed mechanical to a fault. It is not common for so many scenes in one of Robby's movies to fall short but at least his more frequent critics will like the idea that he kept quiet while shooting the action.
