Audio/Video Quality: Jack's POV 8 was presented in the usual 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground. The lighting was decent as always, never getting as bright as I tend to prefer but enhancing the look of the ladies without blinding them all the same and the scenes were all shot in the point of view (POV) method some of you are really into (I've become sort of a fan of the style thanks in large part to this series). Nick "The Wiz" P. was on editing this time and his skills surely helped make this another winner of a fuck flick by taking Robby's admittedly well shot raw footage and crafting scenes even better for the way they were made in post production. Robby has been on a roll for a long time with his continuing evolution of gonzo style; the POV projects showing the most improvement but all of the gonzo shot for the company appealing better for replay value than the generic product some of his industry peers seem content to shoot these days (offering a relatively high bitrate of mid 6 Mbps in the process). The fleshtones were accurate, the amount of distracting video noise or other elements appeared to be negligible, and the POV (point of view) camera angle was employed in every scene to allow the viewer the opportunity to fantasize about themselves in the place of the male performers. The audio was presented in the usual 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround (in 384 Kbps) but outside of the introductory commercial for the process, there appeared to be a little separation in the vocal tracks and the music wasn't a big issue here so you won't be showcasing your new home theatre with this one but it gave me the idea that someone touched it up a bit too.

Body of Review: Robby D. may well be considered the driving force over at Digital Playground in terms of his prolific output but he has done more than just open the company up to a world of gonzo possibilities in recent years; he has led their battle to compete for your porn dollars in ways that few thought likely only a couple of years ago when the company catered strictly to couples. Well, one of his increasingly popular series at the company these days is Jack's POV Series, where Robby shoots all the scenes as though he were getting actual sex that did not involve paying for it or his hand. The humor employed in most scenes is indicative of the larger Jack universe, albeit in smaller doses, and coming soon is the latest volume to enjoy, Jack's POV 8. The cover wisely chose uber hotty Jana Cova to sell additional products though the choice was interesting considering she only does other women, so my curiosity got the better of me and I gave this one a closer look. That said, there were no condoms used in the five scenes and here's a quick glimpse into what you can expect from the movie's scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: Honey Dejour, a youthful gal with a heart of gold, was up first as part of a scam where Jack tricked her into giving Jerry a mercy fuck; giving her the impression that his girlfriend left him for another man. She entered the bedroom where he sobbed like a wimp, consoling him in a way that only a gal wearing loose fitting clothing with nipple erections can do. Her acting skills had her laughing at the scenario, Jerry getting a bit pushy as he attempted to get some play from the giggling girl. She looked off camera a bit (probably asking herself how she let Robby talk her into this stuff) but after some playfully coy teasing, she began to stroke him; the camera staying with the general POV angle even if the scene dynamic was altered a bit from the usual approach used in the series. Once she started undressing though, the tempo of the pacing sped up with the gal jerking him off and blowing him really well as she played to his ego. She really wasn't my idea of a hotty but the way the scene was handled certainly added something to it for me, even acknowledging the play acting being so obvious. I would have liked to see more of Jana in action but her lengthy solo scene had the kind of replay value that I've come to appreciate about her work, the other gals showing a love of cock that proved to have substantial strokability too. In short then, Jack's POV 8 was not just about the many lovely charms of hotty Jana Cova but also the rest of the ensemble cast that gave so much of themselves; earning a rating of Highly Recommended in the process. If you want flat supermarket lighting, circus act sex, and a bunch of third tier performers you'll want to look somewhere else but if you want the kind of quality offering Robby and DP are known for, you know where to go when this comes out later this month.
