Audio/Video Quality: House of Ass 7 was presented in a 1.33:1 full frame color offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Productions. Most of the camera work was done by Craig Daze with the bedroom ending up as the generic location where the sex took place. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 5 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene looked the same given it was just Craig and Tom here (Craig took charge while Tom was busy in front of the camera). The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the limited bedroom sex after the fun tease montages shot around the house. The editing was generally decent, showing more skill than the last time I checked out one of his movies for review. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor once the scenes started in earnest.

Body of Review: Tom Byron has long been a fan of ass so now that he has Tom Byron Productions up and running, he can provide more of a dedicated look at the female derriere than ever before. His latest movie to make it my way was House of Ass 7, the sequel to House of Ass 5 that I enjoyed so much earlier this year. I have found myself seeking out some of Tom's works of late due as much to the tease he has the ladies provides as the actual action but my fellow Houstonian has been around porn almost as long as I've been watching it so his ability to provide a different kind of gonzo experience has made much of his work worth searching for; my list containing the back volumes of this series as an example. The sex itself did not focus on anal but given the plentiful attention to the hotties gracing the production, I had no issues with this decision as the rippling rumps work just fine for me when the pussy is being plugged. In short, I liked House of Ass 7 as much as I enjoyed House of Ass 5, though more tease footage, better extras, and a steadier hand with the camera might have elevated it up another notch. This might not have been Tom's best work of the year but it did show he was trying to keep getting the best performers available instead of who was available on a given day; a dynamic many of his peers should take under consideration for their own works.
