The Movie:

After the untimely death of Andy (Randy Spears), he's shown his past in the form of a highlight reel. His guide for this unusual demonstration Melissa (Kaylani Lei) politely provides the monologue and tries to help him see his former shortcomings. You see, Andy was never successful in love. Whether it was insecurity, work ethic or the after effects of a broken heart, he never found true love. But maybe this time, in the afterlife, with Melissa's guidance, he can rise to the occasion and find that one true love he has been searching for.

The DVD:

Audio/Video:  Rise is presented in 16:9 ratio anamorphic widescreen color, shot in HD, directed by David Stanley, and distributed by Wicked Pictures. The picture was very clear and crisp with very little distortion with the flesh tones being almost near to perfect. The audio was presented in Wicked's usual 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English and in Spanish 2.0 which  didn't  test my  speakers nor did it  come off as  too loud making it easy to listen  too.

BTS: Director David Stanley talks to his camera man about filming in the hot temperature of the desert and   gives some insight to his movie Rise. Later on we catch Randy   flubbing his lines during the shot and busting out laughing. There are a  few more  laughs to  be had  and more silly antic  from the  cast to  be  enjoyed.

Bonus Sex Scene:Next w/ Kaylani Lei, Voodoo

Kaylani Lei, the hotty contract gal on the front cover, was up next as she fantasized about Voodoo in her dream bedroom (as seen in the comedic portions of the movie). He played an over the top Frenchman trying his best to seduce her, the pair wisely spending some time kissing and stroking each other before completely disrobing and doing the oral. She began by dropping to her knees to slob his knob, taking her time to savor the moment as she looked up at him, surprising me at how solid a job she could do. I enjoyed the longer version in the extras section better but it was a decent scene with some serious replay value for couples. I also enjoyed how she increased the tempo as the scene progressed, getting more into the action instead of carrying forth at the same level all the way through. The scene ended with the facial and some post coital sucking, reminding me why she was a contract gal in the first place. Nice! Reviewed by Don Houston

Scene 1: Evan Stone, Holly Stevens

After  wandering  along the  hot  desert aimlessly, Andy  finds himself following  what he  thinks to  be  an  optical illusions in the  form of  the  beautiful Kaylani Lei. He walks through a red door and finds himself in what appears to be a screening room. The movie clips starts and he recognizes his parents, Holly the ever innocent daughter of a preacher and Evan the bad ass guy your parents always warned you about. Parked in a car in the middle of no where, they do as any normal teens do and begin to make out with some heavy petting action going on. After getting all hot and bothered Evan take Holly on the hood of the car and goes to town on her with his tongue and fingers. He then turns her over and   does her doggie on the hood of the car finishing off with Holly taking a full load into her mouth.

Scene 2: Kendal Brooks, Randy Spears, Brad Armstrong

In another flash back into time, the early 70's, Randy is out with Kendall on a picnic in the park. While watching himself he recalls the emotions and the words he used that day. She hands him his one of his birthday gifts a mandolin. Before he gets to pop the question Kendal gives him his other present and begins to remove her top revealing her breast. After making out for a bit Randy goes down on her fingering her as well. She  then  sucks  him off and  then rides  him CG style and  work  their  way into  spooning with Randy  unloading on her  breast. Brad then enter the scene wanting to share the free love in which Kendal is all into the idea and Randy isn't. Kendal gives him a BJ and Randy walks away upset that Kendal went along with it.

Scene 3: Brooke Banner, Randy Spears

In another  glance  into his  past the  80's Randy  sees himself in his office  celebrating yet  another  birthday  but this time with his  wife Brooke  who  shows up at  his office with his  presents. One being a portable phone and the other herself wearing almost nothing. She props herself up on his desk spreading her legs. Randy takes her in the mish position and is interrupted by his secretary leaving his wife unsatisfied. Furious with him, she warns him about coming home late from work.

Scene 4: Brooke Banner, Roxy DeVille

Later that evening Randy calls home after noticing just how late he is, only to hear that his wife is moaning loudly in the background. As promised, Brooke extracted her revenge by having sex with Roxy. Then ladies do a decent job taking and giving when it comes to going down on the other and in the 69. After being fully satisfied, Brooke says to Randy on the phone, "I told you I would be merciless" then hangs up.

Scene 5: Chris Cannon, Kaylani Lei, Randy Spears

Looking into another part of his life, Randy is on train reading the paper watching as Chris and Kaylani are busy getting it on while the train is in motion. Kaylani straddles his lap and rides him CG style. She looks up at Randy a few times while she is riding Chris. Chris unloads on her ass and   departs the train. Kaylani still raring to go sits back with Randy and begins to grab at his crotch. She undoes his pants revealing his hardon and sucks him off. Randy unloads on her creamy thighs.

Scene 6: Kaylani Lei, Randy Spears

Kaylani and Randy share a conversation in the so called screening room which explains what David Stanley was trying to get across. After pleading not to be sent back, he finds himself back at the red door in the middle of the desert with Kaylani. They begin to kiss and undress, Kaylani then rubs up against Randy giving her   backside to him for  some action against the  door frame with  Randy  unloading on her ass.

Final Thoughts: David Stanley has always worked a message into all his movies and if you are lucky to pick up on it its well worth the watch. This one being   to control your own life before you lose the ability to go back and change the past. Everyone always thinks that it's the  ladies that  live  with  insecurities and  regrets but this time  David Stanley  has  shown that men too live with the  same  fears as  women  do. Rise is a couple friendly flix with a lot of emotion put into it. If the main purpose of porn is to sell viewers a fantasy well Wicked and David Stanley did more than that. It is rare for me to come across a porn title that has a message this strong behind it. Randy Spears project such strong emotions throughout the  entire flick while trying to figure out what  was happening and  why.  The beautiful and exotic Kaylani get her point across very well in the final scene with Randy. Each scene in itself makes us look at our own lives and how hectic they can be and   each  very  well shot. If I had to chose one out of the many of David Stanley's  movies that  I have  had the pleasure of reviewing as a  favorite, Rise would be the one..
