Extras: The 10:41 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Shay Jordan (edited by Kurt Tortcher, additional footage by Yordi and Brah Bones) was cute, losing most of the humor in favor of providing a straightforward look at the ladies. There was also the usual extras with stuff like a slideshow, a photogallery, a pop shot compilation from the scenes as well as trailers to shows like like Pirates II, Island Fever 4 Blu-Ray, Jack's POV 1 Blu-Ray,Cheerleaders BR, Babysitters BR, Pirates BR, Contract Star BR, and Island Fever 3 BR.

Audio/Video Quality: Deeper 10 Blu-Ray was presented in 1.78:1 widescreen color as shot by director Robby D. for release by Digital Playground in the advanced AVC codec of the high definition format. The lighting was reasonably solid here, as expected given this was Robby's standard type of gonzo, and that meant that the limited amounts of grain and other visual elements used to lend a sense of texture were minimal.  If anything, the lighting looked optimized for the Blu-Ray version of the movie, an upgrade as far as this reviewer is concerned and a welcome change from some of the decent but not as vital upgrades offered up by most in the industry.  The way the scenes were shot and edited was markedly similar in the scenes, though the composition of the angles was changed up a bit depending on the scene in question; Sidney Michaels handling the editing and other post production duties this time. The DVD mastering revealing no obvious compression artifacts or video noise (the bitrate varying but often staying near the 24 Mbps range) but this was far from one of the most effects laden extravaganzas in the series so don't expect a lot from it.  There has also been some debate regarding recent titles by the company coming out in 1080i rather than 1080p, this one registering as 1080i but having the same resolution as any 1080p production (something about the company using a higher than average frame rate causing misleading readings from television sets; data available upon request to prove the advanced codecs used by the company to be the better resolution). Suffice it to say, like all bleeding edge technology, rely on your eyes, not on a generic reading from a TV when deciding how good a picture looks. The audio was presented in a 5.0 Dolby Digital Surround (using 640 Kbps) with a minimalist leaning that seemed unique in most ways to productions outside of the Jack series, with the vocals always dominating the audio track as I like it but the vocals by the cast were lower than usual, almost as if the microphone was pointed at Jack/Robby. At this writing, the company is looking to address the lack of the .1 track on recent productions, but in fairness to them, the audio was as solid as they have offered up so I'm not sure the difference will merit much attention. There also wasn't much separation between the channels but the ladies were almost always clearly heard.

Body of Review: Robby D. is undoubtedly the leading industry director when it comes to number of high definition titles shot, all of them at Digital Playground over the last several years. While most of his peers would rest on their laurels, Robby keeps trying new things, occasionally dropping the ball to his larger audience in an effort to cater to smaller niches of fans that appreciate his lesser known efforts. One of the series he works on that are quite hit or miss with me these days fall into that category, the latest being Deeper 10 Blu-Ray: Lacie Heart (the sequel to Deeper 9). The series is generally known as a means to showcase the company's contract gals or featured hotties that they use a lot. This time, the focal point was beautiful Lacie Heart (with cute Shay Jordan given a scene too); the gal that went on hiatus with boyfriend Scott Nails to "take care of some personal matters". While I hope that she comes back in the future, I can't help but wonder if she would look any better than she did in her two scenes here; the stunning blond combining a youthful innocence with a shapely figure men drool over. I prefer the series that last longer and offer better extras but as Digital Playground slowly (painfully so at times) releases previously shot footage of gals like Lacie, fans certainly have a lot to look forward to. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Lindsay Meadows, a lean gal with long dark hair, was up first as she peeped on showering stud, Marco Banderas. She was wearing a sheer white dress as the guy cleaned up, Lindsay teasing him once she caught his eye. Within moments, he opened the glass door to join her and the two kissed as if long lost lovers. Summary: Deeper 10 Blu-Ray by director Robby D. for release by Digital Playground next month might not have been the top title of recent times but fans of Lacie Heart will certainly appreciate the company providing them with some new material to stroke with so I rated this as a Rent It. Should Lacie remain retired from porn, scenes like this may prove all the more important, but the other ladies earned some nods for their roles in the fuck flick too, giving fans of vignette style something worth checking out. In short, Deeper 10 Blu-Ray: Lacie Heart didn't work for me as well as Deeper 9 did but your personal tastes in ladies might elevate the equation a touch so give this one a look. Oh, and the up side to the high definition version is that the picture looked decidedly better, applying a frame rate of 29.97 that causes disc players to register as 1080i when the resolution is the same 1920X1080 that any 1080p production would provide.
