Extras: The best extra was the 22:58 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Craig Daze that amounted to three separate interviews with some of the ladies (Ginger Lynn, Keisha, Amber Lynn) in a bit called Chattin' With the Goldies (thematically about the ladies from the 80's). Each gal gave some interesting anecdotes and showed off their body but I wished all of them had been given the chance. There were also some trailers, a photogallery, a slip cover for the DVD case, and spam at the beginning of the movie.

Audio/Video Quality: Seasoned Players 4 was presented in a 1.33:1 full frame color offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec. The camera work mixed it up this time with a lot of tease footage taken outside by the pool where the natural light definitely enhanced the look of the ladies before they moved inside. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 5 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene provided solid fleshtones that appeared to be accurate. The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the picture not always optimal (looking slightly faded out at times) but as far as Tom's work is concerned, it was shot with the ladies in mind; making the gals look their best for the most part. The editing was generally decent, but not showing more skill than the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some of the additional tease footage was left in the scenes instead of left in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor once the scenes started in earnest.

Body of Review: Tom Byron has been associating with the porn industry since leaving Houston and setting out to make it big, now heading up his own company, Tom Byron Pictures, where he gets to nail a bevy a beauties in a wide variety of fuck flicks. Every year, Tom goes out of his way to provide some seriously strokable titles that are thematically appreciated all across the board, now tackling the MILF phenomena with a major release called Seasoned Players 4. I haven't seen the series in the past but this caught my attention quickly when I saw the cover sported Ginger Lynn, Amber Lynn, and Keisha (all high end performers in the 1980's) but Kylie Ireland and Lisa Ann as well (both being adored performers from the 90's up to this day). In the sense that a MILF is a "mother I'd like to fuck", most of the ladies qualify for the title, though Kylie and Lisa merely look the part of the curvy older woman in need of seed, and such a casting feat as this is bound to reap the rewards of the decision. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that some condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Ginger Lynn, the featured blond on the center of the front cover, was up first with some tease and an interview with Tom Byron. I've been watching these to go at it in scenes since before the original New Wave Hookers and this year marks her 25th in the industry so even though she's retired a bunch of times, her fans keep calling her back for more. Amber took her last name due to the popularity of Ginger and some of the porn press tried to make it seem as though they feuded all the time but I never got that impression from the movies they were in. The scene had the pair using a condom and she was surprisingly fit; Tom trying to use Ginger's performance to coax some anal out of Amber. Tom sang her praises and the interesting anecdotes aside, I wanted to see this smoking hot babe go at it (even if she wasn't working with Johnny Sins like she seemed to prefer). While that might seem a bit high to some of you, remember that this is a niche "event" fuck flick and almost made to cater to fans alone but anyone that can appreciate such ladies will find it really well made. In short, Seasoned Players 4 was one of the best of the year in terms of scoring the high profile MILF types you just don't see much, all the ladies contributing some value in terms of chemistry and passion.
