Extras: There was a nice selection of extras this time, the best being the 41:24 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Craig Daze. It gave each of the ladies a chance to talk in interview form, showing limited skin but bringing up the viewer to speed on what has been happening with their careers. There was also a photogallery, some trailers, forced spam, and a slipcase for the DVD too.

Audio/Video Quality: Seasoned Players 6 was presented in a 1.33:1 full frame color offering as shot by director Tom Byron for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec (like most standard definition titles are, using a 480i resolution). The camera work mixed it up this time with a bit of tease footage taken outside by the pool where the natural light definitely enhanced the look of a few of the ladies before they moved inside, most settling for the inside of the house this time. The video maintained a bitrate of mid 5.8 Mbps most of the time, reducing the obvious compression artifacts to almost none and each scene provided solid fleshtones that appeared to be accurate as Craig Daze and Tom worked the cameras. The composition of the scenes was consistent too with the picture not always optimal (looking better this time though) but as far as Tom's work is concerned, it was shot with the ladies in mind; making the gals look their best for the most part or at least as much as the point of view style he employed could make them. The editing was generally decent, showing the same level of skill as the last time I checked out one of his movies for review, albeit I wished some additional tease footage was left in the scenes or provided in the extras section of the DVD. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate. There was no noticeable separation between the tracks and the dynamic range was limited but I could hear the ladies and the music was not a factor.

Body of Review: Tom Byron has been involved in making porn for decades now, the former Houstonian one of the most respected in the business. Tom's latest project coming in for review last week was Seasoned Players 6, another star studded volume in the series, this time graced with Julia Ann, Stephanie Swift, Brittany O'Connell, Rachel Love, and even Shayla LaVeaux. Exactly how Tom rounds up such top talent for the series when half of pornland seems on the prowl for high end MILF performers is beyond me but as envied as he may be, he delivers the goods in spades this time, much like he did in Seasoned Players 4 that I reviewed earlier this year. Considering how rare some of these ladies make porn these days, all having left contracts, retired, and fallen off the face of the industry, their performances were quite welcome in my book. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that one condom was used for those still interested:

Scene One: Julia Ann, the busty babe that left Wicked Pictures last year, was up first as she described how she had been concentrating on doing make up, the curvy gal seen on the lower middle of the left hand side of the cover set to do Tom Byron after a short interview and tease session by the pool. In short, Seasoned Players 6 was a nice tribute to some of the most respected ladies of the 1990's porn, a few of them even winning over fans in the early 2000's so check it out as it was pretty darned solid in many ways.
