Ah, memories. Remember 2002? It doesn't seem like that long ago, really, but in the world of porn a lot can change in just a few years. This shot on video production looks pretty clean presented here in a reasonably stable 1.33.1 fullframe presentation. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots and a noticeable bit of mpeg compression evident in some of the darker colors and the blacks but other than that, there's not a lot to complain about. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on, and aside from the fact that this digital video production looks like a digital video production and as such suffers from the minor defects usually associated with the format, everything is coming up roses as far as the look of the film is concerned.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The dialogue comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. The soundtrack is mixed in properly at a respectable level most of them time but there are a few spots where the music is definitely louder than it needed to be and as such it slightly overshadows the speaking parts when they do occur. Bass response is nice and lively and overall, for a porno movie, this is a better than average effort.

Extras:

The main supplement on this release is an audio commentary track from Jim Powers and Rob Rotten. They talk about how the original idea was to make a Roger Corman inspired teen movie in the vein of Rock N Roll High School with an adult twist. They talk about Rachel's performance and about how they got the various bands involved in the production. They discuss the sex scenes and what it was like working together, what the girls were like, and what the whole punk porn scene was like at the time. There's a lot of background chatter here from some unidentified participants that gets a bit distracting but this turns out to be a good mix of information and humor as no one is taking anything too seriously - as it should be.

Up next are some bonus scenes the first of which is from School Bus Girls #3 (20:53). Rob plays a bus driver and he picks up Rachel and another girl. Rachel gets horny so Rob pulls the bus over and they fuck - the other girl is not seen again in the context of this clip! The second bonus scene is Rachel's screen test from Amateur Auditions #23 (25:12). Final Thoughts:

Little Runaway holds up really well. The plot is fun, the music is great, and the sex is hot and the wealth of extra features really adds some welcome value to this re-release. The presentation quality is decent enough and the film is sexy and fun making this one a highly recommended title.
