Extras: Setting the trend yet again, the discs had their own unique extras, the first one with a 12:08 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by the talented Tony Flush; the man interviewing the ladies as they got ready for their scenes but also catching them in various states of undress but Nikki DD was kind of quiet this time. There were three trailers, a popshot recap, a photogallery, websites, and a cast list too. Audio/Video Quality: Crazy 4 Cougars was presented in an appealingly clear 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Chris Streams for Jules Jordan Video as presented in the MPEG-2 format so common to standard definition titles (with 480i resolution). The lighting was consistently solid, generally limiting the grain and other visual flaws in the open settings of the house, no scenes going far outside the box in terms of centering on dark rooms this time. The composition of the shots was largely enhancing to the ladies though as they diddled themselves or took on Chris in POV fashion. There were no compression artifacts (the bitrate hovering in the 4.9 Mbps range most of the time I paid any attention to it) but the fleshtones were not always what I expected them to be, making this one visually decent for me and not the best I've seen from Chris in the past. I will note that as Chris jumped in to do the women, his camerawork suffered somewhat, adding in some grain, color saturation, and soft focus moments but elevating the raw energy at times as well. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English audio (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) was a bit more basic with no separation or major dynamic range but I could always hear what was said and the music didn't interfere with my viewing pleasure. The music dominated during the tease sequences and fans may find this a marked change for the director from most of his works to date.

Body of Review: Chris Streams is a fine example of a director that showed his game greatly elevated as a result of hooking up with Jules Jordan Video. Not to detract from his previous employers but how often was he allowed to make dual disc sets, select his own cast members, and engage in direct quality control over all aspects of his releases before owning his own titles? Even a cursory look at his pre and post JJV titles will answer the question for you, a great many reviewers from all major sources seemingly in agreement over the matter. Well, hit latest title is for those of you that like POV titles as much as MILFs in Crazy 4 Cougars: Special Edition. Before I get too far, it seems fitting to point out that the use of the term "cougar" is a misnomer since Chris is not younger than all the ladies, and even then, not that much younger since the term refers to older women prowling on (much) younger men or women, but that fact aside, he has once again assembled a first rate cast that I'd be tapping myself if I had the spare dough. When you see names like Shayla "Gumdrop" LaVeaux, Lisa Ann, and Brittany O'Connell (to name a few), you know you're in store for a treat, the eight (yes, I said 8!) scenes all helmed by the director as he nails them as best he could. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:
