Extras: Unlike many other releases on the current market, the extras included here not only mirrored the SD production to large extent, but were also included in high definition and, more importantly, were related to the production in hand. They started out with an 8:08 minute long Behind the Scenes montage set to music that some of you might like more than I did (the music was bothersome and I would have preferred to hear Morgan give a running commentary if the actual on set sounds could not be included throughout the extra), a Morgan Dayne solo scene lasting 13:37 minutes where the cutie pleasured herself, and a newly shot bonus scene lasting 27:18 minutes between Morgan Dayne and Reno as she lived out a fantasy of hers. New bonus scenes are almost as rare as free money in porn but even then they tend to be on the weak side so I was impressed that this was at least as good as, if not better, than a few of the scenes in the movie itself. Reno might not be top talent (yet!) in terms of acting or performing but he had all the right equipment and she enjoyed it as much as possible during the suck & fuck fest here.

Audio/Video Quality: Johnny Loves Morgan (Blu-ray) was presented in 1.78:1 ratio widescreen color as shot by director Bill "Cezar Capone" Fisher for Cezar Capone.com using the VC-1 codec on mastering and a 720p resolution. While I am not sure why they did not choose 1080p (or even 1080i), it likely has to do with the equipment used to shoot the footage, the modest upgrade to the SD release not going unnoticed but also not exactly event worthy given the much higher price point it sells for. There was a lot of detail in many portions of the flick though, even with a lot of soft focus employed during the sex and tease, a slight glow to many scenes balanced with largely accurate fleshtones, though some reddish tint was observed at times too. The lighting was generally solid too, some scenes shot outside but unlike some companies, Cesar did not go crazy on the slow motion or other special effects here, elevating the quality of the visual action in the process. There were not blatantly obvious compression issues here and the video bitrate tended to stick around the 19.3 Mbps mark throughout the production (varying a lot though), the visual treat of Morgan Dayne good enough to last until a full high definition title showcasing her attributes can be released. The audio was the standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, the blend of music and vocals occasionally appealing even if any separation was added in during post production and the dynamic range was limited. The music was a mixed bag for me here with some of it really lame but most of the time, it merely punctuated the aural qualities of the cast.

Body of Review: Bill "Cezar Capone" Fisher is one of the very best directors when it comes to shooting "made for internet" scenes, his methods copied by many and succeeded by few at this writing. He is often able to get something extra out of his casts when shooting, be it some raw energy, some personality, or just helping make the scenes "connect" more than his often uncredited peers. Now that he is the boss and owns his own production company, Cezar Capone.com, many are curious to see what he will offer next, our reviews of his website-oriented fare showing we have a lot of love for his work. Well, earlier this year he released a title that was extremely well received at Xcritic, and it is now upgraded to a high definition version, the movie called Johnny Loves Morgan (Blu-ray). The theme of the movie was to showcase company contract starlet Morgan Dayne as she lived out her fantasies, the newcomer to porn certainly attractive enough to raise a few eyebrows.

The box cover described the DVD like this: "The hottest star in the industry, produced and shot by award winning director Bill Fisher and presented to you in a way never seen before. Sexual Dynamo, Morgan Dayne's passion for love has brought her the ultimate boy-toy, her father's gardener. Johnny. Taken from the pages of a romance novel gone hard-core, the erotic and intense love Johnny has for Morgan spills from scene to scene. After a passionate affair Morgan's fantasies bring out her wild and kinky side. She loves Johnny like no other but her interest strays to another man. Her lust for more than one partner and her deepest lesbian desires are brought to reality when she has sex with Johnny and her friend Linda. Don't miss this movie! With 7 sex scenes it is sure to please."

Well, having seen the movie several times now and originally read my teammate's review at Chris Thorne on Johnny Loves Morgan, I really didn't feel like I had much to add to what he said or the pictures he included of the frisky babe in action (except I wished she was a more active ride to go along with the levels of chemistry she displayed) so I'm not going to rehash old territory and breakdown the scenes given the fine job my associate did. My primary focus here was to expand upon the technical qualities for the high definition version as well as point out what was kept versus what was left in, so many double dips in Blu-ray seeming to lose extras at most companies.

For those that care, this was a decidedly modest visual upgrade for those of you equipped with a high definition television set and Blu-ray player, the audio appearing to be the same on the 720p resolution title. The detail was sometimes lost to the softer focus moments but there were also times when it was so razor sharp that individual whiskers or pubic stubble was spotted. I know some people claim that "porn should not have high definition" due to the real looks of the ladies or situations but having met Morgan at the 2009 AEE, I can tell you that I long for the day when she is out on a true high definition, 1080p with a high bitrate movie that eschews special effects altogether in favor of showcasing her lovely self for all her strokable glory. So check out our original review at Johnny Loves Morgan if you need screen captures or scene breakdowns, but look for a sale before getting this version.

Summary: Johnny Loves Morgan (Blu-ray) by director Bill "Cezar Capone" Fisher was a solid showcase for lovely Morgan Dayne, the company contract gal, as she ascends to whatever rightful place she finds on the porn pantheon. As such, the Blu-ray version was worthy of being Recommended but keep in mind that Cezar's strengths as a director have long been established in the gonzo shooting style so vignette and feature porn might take him awhile to work out as well. In short, Johnny Loves Morgan (Blu-ray) was a tribute to Morgan Dayne and as such, her fans should pick up a copy or two while they wait for follow up efforts that have been promised.
