Extras: The best extra was an unrelated 15:54 minute long Bonus Core scene between the director and Lizzy Styles that included a blowjob and hand finish. She was fun, personable, and seemed to appreciate the situation more than most I've seen in the extras sections of movies, upgrading its value to me. There was also a wealth of deleted footage lasting 40:59 minutes, mostly interviews but some amusing good times too. There was a photogallery and some trailers, as well as a slipcover and true double sided cover (an x-rated and r-rated version).

Audio/Video Quality: Who's That Girl #9 was presented in an anamorphic widescreen color with an approximate aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Van Styles for Vouyer Media in the MPEG-2 encoded standard definition using 480i resolution. The lighting was flat and even, substantially better than that which you'll find in most gonzo porn and topping a couple of his other recent efforts at the company and elsewhere (even his hired gun efforts for Jenna Haze). There was little grain and the fleshtones were accurate, reminding me of how splendid most of the movies released by the company have been of late (at least the ones I voted on for a few industry award shows). The composition of the shots was such that the ladies were made to look as good as possible, Van among the best the gonzo world has to offer when it comes to balancing out technical side and raw energy; both prime reasons why he is a favorite among other directors that slap their name on titles he technically directs. The compression rate was typically in the mid 4.4 Mbps area, moving about but rarely showing a need for less compression as some titles elsewhere have needed. The editing was on the minimalist end at the hands of Van Styles himself, the man adding a few artistic touches here too. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) but there was no significant separation between the channels and the vocals were on the low side in all but a few circumstances. Still, I could hear every monaural moan and groan in the post production enhanced release, pretty much what one would expect from a gonzo title.

Body of Review: Van Styles is something of an enigma at Vouyer Media these days, his directorial efforts maintaining the usual gonzo straightforwardness of his peers but also branching out to provide a slightly different look at times, not quite as artistic as those Robby D. as "Celeste" movies I sometimes rail about but not just a nuts & bolts look at, well...nuts and bolt-ons. His latest release is a movie called Who's That Girl #9, the series long appreciated for the number of newcomer gonzo gals starting their careers in them. This time saw only a single gal with any mileage on her porn resume and Van was distinctly in evidence throughout the production on all levels short of performing. None of the women looked like they were destined for porn greatness but all of them were quite capable of milking a nut in the sluttiest of ways so fans should be happy at the results of the genetic juice withdrawal system in place. In short, Who's That Girl #9 was not the best release in the entire series but it earned the kind of respect from me only a seasoned professional could muster, the total package value oriented for those wanting to supplement their collections.
