Extras: The first extra was the amusing 38:45 minute long Behind the Scenes feature shot by Kris Bertrand and edited by Will Bice. Kayla began by discussing how much she looks like Jennifer Aniston, the edit offering a series of disjointed clips and interviews of the movie being made, Rocco as "Joe" one of the highlights of the dialogue portions of the show, Evan mugging, Jordan doing well as "Freebie", and other bits adding to the entertainment value of the second disc. Then came 10:26 minutes of bloopers of shots that just didn't work out thanks to someone or other missing a mark or otherwise fucking up. Next up was a 29:11 minute long scene from "All About Sadie" starring Sadie West and Tony DeSergio going at it after some table tennis lessons went awry, a photogallery, three trailers to other sitcums from director Myers, and an iPod compatible version of the movie for digital download.

Audio/Video Quality: Friends A XXX Parody was presented in a sharp looking 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen picture as shot by director Lee Roy Myers for New Sensations using the MPEG-2 codec with 480 resolution. The show looked more like the original television show when I didn't look too closely, the lighting leaving something to be desired during the sex scenes (this time, the C-light guy making it clear he was on duty, the issue with lighting this time being that some portions were over lit to the point of flaring). There were few compression artifacts that I noticed and the video bitrate seemed to hover around the 4.3 Mbps, the fluid camerawork coming across like the show too. This was a pretty good pornified version of the original show, the director again using editor Gabrielle Anex to enhance the final product. The company logo was always present in the lower right hand corner with a light watermark but it generally wasn't obtrusive except in a few of the sex scenes. The SD audio was presented in a standard 2.0 Dolby Digital English with a 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate, no separation between the channels, a limited dynamic range, and music from Lucky Numbers quite amusing to say the least (on par with anything written so far by Roger Krypton over at Hustler). In all then, the show was a cute send up to a popular television show, the technical aspects less important than the creative material used to inspire your self-love habits.

Body of Review: Lee Roy Myers is New Sensations' answer to Will Ryder/Scott David at X-Play Media, Axel Braun of Axel Braun Productions, and Anton Slayer/Jerome Tanner at Hustler Video for making porn parodies or Sitcums as they are referred to these days. His work is consistently held in good regard by fans and his peers, and even his often rushed shooting schedules do not water down his efforts too much as he seeks to bring the public back to the company that employs him, their abundance of compilations convincing many folks they had all but left the production business altogether until Lee began. His latest release is Friends A XXX Parody in the form of a 2-disc collector's edition, the spoof of the once popular sitcom already gaining some positive press at this writing. The show it was based on revolved around a group of six friends always bemoaning their fate, sitting around a coffee shop for hours on end each day as life threw them various curves to deal with. While I liked the show on occasion, I admit to seeing a handful of episodes towards the latter half of its ten year run, the show having long run out of steam before the plug was pulled back in 2004. This time, the sitcum version took a handful of bits from the original show, pornified them, and then let the admittedly decent look alike cast have some fun. Yes, there were scores of missed opportunities and it was so random at times that I felt the project might have been written on a matchbook over drinks one day with Stormy Daniels but even with only a couple of the cast showing the acting chops needed to pull this one off successfully, it was a fun tribute to the show. The back cover described the movie like this: "What do you get when you cross one of the funniest and most popular sitcoms ever with the hottest sex scenes imaginable? You get Friends: A XXX Parody! Finally, their friendship has benefits. It's amazing what happens when New Sensations parodies Monica, Phoebe, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Ross. The comedy flies as do the bodily fluids Hilarity and deep penetration ensues when Freebie accidentally spills the beans about Moanica's bachelorette party, leading the boys to decide to throw a bigger & raunchier bachelor party." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Vanessa concentrated on Evan while Kayla and Jordan kissed a bunch, all three of the gals spending some time slobbing his knob actively before they rode his vaginally. The single camera was not the best way to go this time considering the wealth of opportunities presented by the quartet, this leaving the scene kind of disjointed. There was taste testing and rug munching galore here with a bunch of dirty talk coming largely from Kayla, the rhythm of the scene not what it could have been but fun to watch several times all the same. The permutations of the cast still have a great many more situations for sequels so I hope they get a chance to explore them with better writing, acting, and more variation on the sex, maybe with the ladies taking a healthy dose of genetic juice to their faces like this scene showed kept in as a tribute to the show.

Summary: Friends A XXX Parody by director Lee Roy Myers for New Sensations had a lot going for it in terms of sets, the cast resembling pornified versions of the mainstream characters, and a few of the cast like Rocco Reed and Anthony Rosano showing they were well suited to the niche. The sex was on the generic side and there could have been a more coherent storyline to follow but this was often a problem with the mainstream show too, the director apparently mimicking aspects that probably could have been polished up more but still earning a rating of Recommended. In short, Friends A XXX Parody might not be the best sitcum of the year but it further cements Director Lee Roy Myers as a player in the field, perhaps his budgets getting increased to compete with the big boys of the genre in the future. In terms of strokability and replay value, there was plenty to appreciate and the entertainment value of the story, even with the choppy laugh track added in, was definitely there to provide fans of the original show the kind of experience they may have been hoping for.
