Extras: The best extra was the 15:44 minute long Striptease section that gave the ladies a chance to tease while loud music played. Audio/Video Quality: Pornstar Perspective was presented in a visually appealing anamorphic widescreen color using an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 as shot by director Mike Quasar for Third Degree Films using the MPEG-2 codec employed by standard definition releases with 480 resolution. The lighting was strong, eliminating the shadows and grain like most of Mike's works in the past, the overall look straightforward even with the cast working an auxiliary camera during the scenes. The grain was minimal as was the video noise but I got the impression that someone used older cameras for the actor held cameras (the fleshtones a bit saturated this time). The bitrate tended to hover around the mid 3.8 Mbps area most of the time I looked. The composition of the scenes enhanced the look of the ladies, each of them able to handle the stronger lighting employed this time. The sole audio track was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using the standard 192 Kbps rate using a 48 kHz sampling rate most titles are mastered with, the aural experience fairly limited due to the nature of the gonzo shoot. There was also no separation between the channels and the dynamic range was as truncated as ever, standard gonzo audio being okay for most consumers.

Body of Review: Mike Quasar has been one of the best gonzo directors of smut over the years, his technical skill level surpassing all but a few of his peers as he delivers the goods so consistently. Lately, his work at Third Degree Films has garnered even more acclaim due to the company pursuing something a bit more interesting, mixing up the gonzo sex with some of Mike's twisted brand of humor. The latest such fuck flick is Pornstar Perspective where Courtney Cummz appears as a sort of spokesperson suggesting that POV camerawork is better than what the douche bag director is capable of providing, the five scenes then including footage from the handhelds operated by the partners as well as the main body shot by Mike himself. The comedic nods to how porn is shot (and by whom) were often quite funny and had they been given more room to grow (as in Mike's The Guide to Making Fuck), the movie might have been even better in terms of replay and entertainment value but it was a solid offering thanks in large part to Courtney Cummz, Raylene, Ann Marie Rios, Tori Black, and Madelyn Marie all appearing to have a good time with their scene partners. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Tori Black

Scene One: Ann Marie Rios, a very cute Latina, was up first in black lingerie, posing for muscular John Strong on a little day bed while talking dirty. The exaggerated zooming in and out aside, she made some funny comments with Courtney before retiring to the bedroom to get busy with David, his camerawork as choppy as it ever was when he was a director at the company. Tori's animal pattern bikini undies offered little resistance to his tongue and he savored her ass as she bent over, the tease leading to both of them doing oral on the other before the various positions of vaginal sex took place. They had some energy if little chemistry here, Tori carrying the scene during the POV camerawork as well as the wider shoots handled by Mike. It was an active ride though and she took her facial well enough, adding to her body of work for the year nicely.

Scene Four: Madelyn Marie, another curvy gal that reminded me much of Tori, was up next in a loose sun dress as Mr. Pete manned the handheld camera. Scene Five: Raylene, a curvy MILF still on her comeback tour thanks to the downturn in the California real estate market, was up last as she complained about male taint, peeling off her clothing for Mark Wood in much more perfunctory fashion than the others. Perhaps she wanted to get it over with but the lack of finesse did not enhance the scene at all, nor did the truncated solo act she did before slobbing his knob on her knees. The hummer helped make up for the rushed look of the early portion of the scene, her moderately active vaginal ride not bad compared to some of her other scenes of late. Both did oral on the other and he ended it by rubbing a load out on her crotch, Raylene touching it only briefly as though it were toxic spew.

Summary: Pornstar Perspective by director Mike Quasar for Third Degree Films was a nice showcase for the performers with enough POV (point of view) footage tossed in to make the movie even better than just a barebones outing so I rated it as Recommended if you are a fan of the ladies such as Raylene, Ann Marie Rios, Tori Black, Courtney Cummz, or Madelyn Marie. The humor tossed in as an aside was not bad either, Mike's self deprecating manner helping to sell this one just a bit more than usual. In short then, Pornstar Perspective made an attempt to see things from the point of view of the performers, faring reasonably well in most cases to the point where it added some strokability.
