Extras: The best extra was the 9:30 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Mike Maravich that included a lot of Nikki Jayne footage. There was also a photogallery and some trailers, the usual Vivid commercials and positions room for each scene. There were no bonus scenes included as listed on the front cover though, at least unless you include Nikki's solo scene between #2 and #3 on the movie itself so I took a few points away from the final score to compensate, though it seems reasonable to point out the movie was far, far longer than anyplace online advertises as it clocks in at just under four hours by itself.

Audio/Video Quality: Sexquake was presented in the same 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec in 480 resolution. For those unfamiliar with his background, suffice it to say that his experience outside of porn is superior to many inside the industry and it shows up in his movies, including this one as shot in 1080i/60 high definition earlier this year, though presented in the SD format (for now). The lighting was well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore their sexuality. The composition of the camera angles and lighting were almost always optimal this time, Skow seeing fit to try and enhance the look of the ladies at every turn as possible, Fletcher Martin editing the raw footage in a limited fashion (which worked for me). The fleshtones were accurate too and the DVD mastering was well done (the bitrate hovering around 4.1 Mbps), making it a mixed bag in terms of visual quality; leaning towards above average though the company watermark will be bothersome to many out there. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 256 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. The aural qualities of the movie appeared to offer some separation and increased dynamic range, the vocals easily heard and mixed in with the ambient noises as well as music.

Body of Review: B. Skow has the best track record as a director at Vivid Entertainment than any of the company's long time staffers over the years, his works bringing them into the 21st century as far as I'm concerned. His latest release once again pairs him up with hotty Nikki Jayne, the man showcasing her in a feature-lite effort called Sexquake, lasting almost four hours. The back cover described the movie like this: "Poor little Nikki...she just can't get used to California style earthquakes. They make her so nervous all she can do is fuck. And in Sexquake, she does three scorching scenes, including an Erik Everhard anal you won't soon forget. Then there's Missy Stone's crazy anal...another amazing ass pounding. See one of the top hard-sex directors do his magic with porn's nastiest newcomer, Nikki Jayne. They'll have you shaking in your boots...and nothing else." Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Nikki Jayne, the total babe blond featured on the front cover, was up first in a flimsy white dress, initially in bed before engaging Mr. Pete in a dance contest that showed just how sexy she can be. One thing led to another and they ended up on the couch, Pete's fingers digging for gold until he went down on her, Nikki appreciating his oral efforts enough to inhale his cock and titty fuck it until they went into a 69 position, each savoring the juices of the other. The slower pace of the oral led to a similar experience with the vaginal positions, Magdalena savoring the experience in a much more realistic manner than the other scenes (from my own experience). Clocking in at nearly four hours of hardcore smut with all the tease I could have hoped for, all the comedic dialogue my gal pal wanted, and all the Nikki Jayne any of us could have hoped for, the movie was another clear sign that Vivid is listening to fans and critics alike. With this kind of fuck for the buck, strokability, and replay value, I know even some of the haters should be silenced for the moment, the minor quirks of the presentation such that few would find fault here. In short, Sexquake will rock and sock your pants around your ankles, Nikki the perfect starlet to lighten your load repeatedly.
