Extras: The nearly 25 minute long bonus scene from XXX Platinum Blondes 2 was the best extra, Hollie Stevens taking care of a relatively new Mick Blue. The scene came from the Jewel De'Nyle back catalog so it appears Tom must have bought it from her when she listed it for sale not long ago. The 20:05 minute long Behind the Scenes feature was also pretty solid for me, the cast seemingly adoring the director and his skill making them look their best. There was also a photogallery, and some web info for those that care, a slipcover encasing the double sided DVD cover and box.

Audio/Video Quality: Big Ass Cheerleaders was presented in an interestingly shot 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color by director Ivan for Tom Byron Pictures in the MPEG-2 codec with 480p resolution. The lighting was such that a lot of the scenes might not have been perfectly optimal but they provided the depth of field necessary to enhance the looks of the ladies in the scenes, keeping the raw energy intact in most cases. The composition of the camera angles showed an invasive interest in the ladies having fun, capturing the heat of the gals going at one another and attacking the cock, making for a lot of fun indeed. The video bitrate on this MPEG-2 version was in the mid 4.3 Mbps most of the time I paid it any attention, some minor aliasing and grain observed. Having seen some of Ivan's demo work (mainstream material too), I know that he will adjust to the rigors of high definition in due time, this merely a stepping stone in that sense that showcases his potential only fairly well. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital using the 192 Kbps bitrate (with optional music) and 48 kHz sampling rate expected of the project. The music was subdued and not intrusive at all so if your player supports the function, by all means leave it on even if it was generic in nature. The vocals were slightly hollow with no separation but I could hear the ladies at all times, the pairing off making it tougher but not too bad either.

Body of Review: Ivan has always struck me as a very talented guy that should be making horror movies in the mainstream or at least following his muse to bigger and better things but now that he has settled at Tom Byron Pictures for the time being, I expect a lot from him there too. Most of his work to date has been for Anabolic and while I have not seen nearly enough of it, I generally like what I have been privy too, the man able to coax some fine performances out of often colorful characters in the jizz biz. His latest title, and the first for the company in its current iteration is Big Ass Cheerleaders, providing five fun-filled scenes starring a plethora of pussy dressed up in cheerleader garb to fuel our collective fantasies. I'm familiar with most of the performers here and while Bobbi Starr and Ava Rose have long tripped my trigger, the others seemed at least as at home in the short vignettes as the featured hotties, each lady adding something to the show. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Caroline Pierce

Scene One: Bobbi Starr, a playful extreme queen with looks and a body to liven up any situation, was up first as she practiced her cheerleading out by the backyard pool where pervert Tom Byron was checking her out with binoculars. It was a believable scenario given her luscious body and when she caught him, his lame excuses leading to her maternal instincts bringing him inside to tend to his wound. She had him on the brown leather couch where they exchanged compliments, the audio a bit low at times but the frisky young cutie making it clear that she wanted more from him than praise. She unzipped his pants and he felt up her ripe rump, both of them excelling during the oral before the various positions of vaginal sex took place. While I didn't need any anal action to take place, it would have elevated the situation even more for me but the energy, chemistry, and strokability were all superior. The scene ended with a facial for those that care but that was the least interesting aspect of the clip, Ivan careful to capture much of the action with regard to the fun factor I often admire about his work.

Scene Two: Ava Rose, the cover cutie looking fleshier than ever, was up next as she allowed Tommy Gunn to use her phone to call a wrecker truck for his flat tire. He checked out her cheerleading moves, found them to his liking, and soon ended up with her on her bed when he overheard how much she adored him. The tease was again very heated and he pawed her ass, the gal getting juicy even before she blew him. That led to an active set of vaginal positions, Ava again showing that some junk in the trunk shouldn't dissuade fans from keeping up with her antics. The strokability and passion was very solid here too, their personal chemistry not as profound as the previous scene but well worth picking up a copy of the movie, the action ending in a facial.

Scene Three: Austin Taylor, a curvy blond entrepreneur, snuck in the privacy gate to make money washing Nick Manning's car. He questioned her motives and she gave a porn flick reply, leading to her jumping in to suck him off as he probed her with his finger. They went inside the house due to his acknowledgment that he would get too loud (he was playing himself), her oral ministrations continuing until it was his turn to go down on her. He put on his usual over the top act but the humor (or lack thereof) aside, the sexual antics were pretty decent. The oral led to some active vaginal positions, the intermittent oral spicing things up, until he bust a nut of genetic juice on her ass cheeks.

Scene Four: Caroline Pierce, a stricter brunette with some added mileage on her chassis, was up next playing the mother of Bobbi Starr, catching perverted Tom Byron off guard when she tossed him onto her bed to show him a few moves of her own. Scene Five: Karlie Simon, a blond Brit with some decent curves, was up last as she came to Justice Young to learn some stretches as a cheerleader. Bonus Scene: XXX Platinum Blondes 2: Hollie Stevens, the attractive blonde on the front DVD cover, started off the show by wearing the same outfit she did on the cover. She showed off her curvy body, including a clean-shaven pussy before going down on Mick while the two had a scene on a couch. Mick didn't initially return the favor, preferring to bone her pussy instead, doing her in several positions. I liked the cowgirl position a lot because it showed off her ample ass to full advantage as well as the amount of energy she could put into the action. She still had some baby fat but did the PTM (pussy to mouth) with a flair usually reserved for experienced experts. It ended when he rubbed out his load onto her mouth and she swallowed most of it down. I liked the scene and can see why it was placed first.

Summary: Big Ass Cheerleaders by director Ivan for Tom Byron Pictures was consistently good as far as I was concerned, showing the cheerleader action fans demand with a host of ladies well suited to their particular roles so I rated it as worthy of at least a Recommended if not more. The chemistry was better than most gonzo outings these days and the production values were almost always very nicely handled (some audio issues aside), Ivan clearly a great addition to Tom's team. In short, Big Ass Cheerleaders provided everything it was supposed to and more, the degree of strokability varying somewhat but easily worthy of picking up a copy for your collections of cheerleader-friendly spank bank material.
