Audio/Video Quality: Femme Core was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen as shot by credited director Teagan Presley for Adam & Eve under the Skinworxxx label, wisely using the experience of Francois Clousot (the director of photography) whose work at Wicked Pictures is generally regarded as indicative of his skilled hand. The show was encoded in 480 in this standard definition, MPEG-2 encoded production, the editing by John Waverly a little sporadic but well within the range one might expect for such a vignette type of flick (some scenes looked much more polished than others). The video bitrate hovered in the 3.8 Mbps area when I took a glance at them, the darker scenes pushing the technical limits of the crew but the blending of long, medium and close up shots made it look more visually appealing than most of the movies Teagan did as a performer under contract. As far as how much actual input Teagan had as the credited director is a question only the crew and other performers can answer but seeing as how she employed a large crew of well known folks to handle the technical aspects, whatever vision she established for them was probably carried out a sight better than others in the industry. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English using a 48 kHz sampling rate and 192 Kbps audio bitrate. The sound and music design was credited to Sike and others, nothing truly standing out as above average though your mileage may vary considerably regarding how well the music was balanced against the vocals (all of which could be heard sufficiently).

Body of Review: Teagan Presley has been a performer for years, developing a large fan base along the way for her hardcore anal antics and powerfully heated scenes with a number of men. These days, she has taken her career down a few notches by only having sex with women on camera, now trying her hand at directing courtesy of her contract with Adam & Eve. This had been a long term goal of hers and frankly, I was curious to see what she would come up with so I picked up a copy of Femme Core, her directorial debut with all of this in mind. There were only five scenes but fans of Teagan's will be pleased to know that she was in every one of them, a variety of light kind practices insuring those fans would be interested in picking up a copy even though no men were present. With a supporting cast including ladies such as Lisa Ann, Monique Alexander, and Alexis Ford, the spank factor looked pretty solid going in, the technical staffers including a veritable who's who from other companies to enhance the final product. Here's a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Teagan Presley, the lead of the show found in the center of the front cover, was up first as the submissive of popular Lisa Ann, the brunette MILF standing immediately behind her on the cover. There was some nasty dirty talk to elevate the scene but it seemed a bit odd at times, the inclusion of the toys again signaling some bland penetration. Sexually though, the highlight came when the candles again came into play, a technical DP on Teagan better than anything that came afterwards.

Scene Five: Teagan Presley, Lisa Ann, Monique Alexander, Alexis Ford, Celeste Star, and Andy San Dimas, were up last, surprising me that Juelz didn't stick around to complete the circle of the scenes with the rest of the cast. The setting was a plain room with graffiti on the walls and a metal fence protecting a pull down door, a couple of couches serving as the launching pads for the six gals to pair off and caress one another, some kissing and finger play leading to a variety of oral. A few of them did get rough with some choking and biting, the pairs becoming trios where the ladies seemed to believe that yelling equated with heat (it doesn't), the toys once again used for penetration of pussy and ass. Andy ate Teagan's ass as Lisa diddled Andy, the fluid nature of the partnering up making the scene a bit confused each time I watched it. The use of solo work with others around seemed weird too, Teagan getting a technical DP from two strap on dildos the sexual highlight for those into toys.

Bonus Scene: Surrender of O: Bree Olson, the fetching young blond featured on the front cover, was up first as she posed in a metal cage for some pictures, the lady soon dominated by curvy Nicole Sheridan and her boss, Nina Hartley in a black wig. Summary: Femme Core by director Teagan Presley for Adam & Eve was a decent first attempt by the fledgling director, the five scenes offering enough lesbian action and light kink to make it well worth a rating of Recommended. The replay value, strokability, and amount of lesbian fuck for the buck will please aficionados of the genre while fans of Teagan Presley should consider this a definite "must have" worthy of their time, money, and seed. In short, Femme Core was tailored to fans of the director but also those into lesbian kink, Teagan letting loose more than usual to make the movie stand out a bit. If you aren't into rough sex, look elsewhere but for a walk on the slightly wild side courtesy of Teagan Presley, this title should satiate your thirst for something different.
