Extras: The extras on the first disc included a cast list, a company promotional trailer, some websites, three trailers, and two portions of the lengthy Behind the Scenes feature by Aiden Riley (the Alexis Texas part lasting 33:15 minutes, the Kelly Divine part lasting 44:46 minutes). The second disc added some filmographies, three more Belladonna trailers, and more Behind the Scenes material (the London/Charley portion lasting 40:40 minutes and the Kimberly/Ashley part lasting 59:10 minutes), Aiden’s comments adding to the fun (including speaking of his busted foot, use of new camera, anecdotes about Mike Tyson pawing Belladonna, etc.). For the most part, the BTS showed the chemistry of the cast as they chatted, enjoyed each other’s presence, and showed a ton of nudity but it added a lot to the value of the show.

Audio/Video Quality: Belladonna: Buttface was presented in the usual 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Belladonna for Evil Angel in a standard definition release using the MPEG-2 codec with 480 resolution. As expected, the mixed level of lighting resulted in some grain and video noise, the creative team behind the project focusing on raw energy and kink over technical superiority, most of the scenes looking unpolished and rough. Still, the action was clear enough and fetish fans will find the sheer amount of lesbian fuck for the buck to be enough to largely compensate for the technical limitations that still remain. The camera angles were a mixed batch and the video bitrate hovered in the high 4.9 Mbps area when I spot checked it, the relative lack of editing an interesting approach. In any case, the audio was presented in a similar fashion with a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in the usual 192 Kbps bitrate and 48 kHz sampling rate) offering that sounded hollow with no separation between the channels and no music to bore you with. Still, it was not significantly worse than most gonzo titles out at this time, the sonic portion less important to most fans than the visuals.

Body of Review: Belladonna is often considered one of the best directors at Evil Angel these days, the raw energy she conveys in her titles enough to get her performers to give ever increasingly nasty scenes, the emphasis on kink and rough sex such that her works stand out in a crowded field. Her latest movie sent me to review is a double disc offering called Belladonna: Buttface, a series of five lesbian scenes showcasing women who rim each other, sit on faces, paw aggressively, and display the kind of chemistry together that is so often missing in scenes released by lower tier companies (especially those that rely on generic foreign material all too much). There were no toys getting in the way this time and the four primary scenes absolutely smoked with passion, the solo scene where Belladonna teased her cameraman husband also a delightful little tease worthy of some extra consideration at award time despite its brevity.

Scene One: Alexis Texas, a bountiful blond bombshell with a bodacious booty, was up first with sexually charged Belladonna, the setting of a large white lit platform in a barren room perfect for keeping all eyes on the ladies. Bella’s energy was infectious too, her desire to go all out on beautiful Alexis making this a great starting point for one of my favorite titles of the year so far.

Scene Two: Kelly Divine, the tattooed cutie featured on the top half of the front cover, was then up with Belladonna, the director featured on the lower portion of the cover as Kelly sat on her face. Both of them was decked out in form fitting black attire, their ample ass cheeks and shaven body parts drawing one another in as they slowly ate each other silly. This scene was a bit slower and more seductive than the last one, Kelly just as anal centric in her oral pleasuring as Bella making this a perfect matchup to enjoy for their fans. I’ll be the first to admit that I liked the curvier body of Kelly more but no one can deny that Bella made it work best due to her driving enthusiasm.

Scene Three: Belladonna, wearing an animal print bra and some black stretch pants, was up next in a tease sequence that would have probably fit better as an extra bonus than in the movie itself. She teased in a slightly grainy, soft focus (at times), sequence where she only had about 11 minutes to play with her cameraman/boyfriend Aiden Riley before it ended. One thing of note was that she stripped off her black outfit to reveal a colorful thong, her perfect pucker and snatch rubbed against his underwear clad pecker as he shot the action in POV fashion. I would have enjoyed it more if there was more material to appreciate but it was still fun.

Scene Four: London Keyes, one of the finest looking Asians in porn, and curvy babe Charley Chase, an excellent performer well worth her pay, were up next as the first scene on the second disc. Charley wore some patterned black pantyhose and London was in black & blue bikini lingerie, each of them showcasing their curves not only in the tease montage. The ladies embraced on a large white platform in a barren room, clearly enjoying their repeated efforts to eat each other’s ass, face sit, and wrestle; the couple among the most physically aggressive of the entire flick. They used fingers and tongues on each other and displayed exceptional chemistry together, an expected quality in Bella’s movies but well worth pointing out all the same. For me, it was much more strokable than most scenes including population pudding or genetic juice, my own ability to supply some spunk certainly assisted by their sweaty lesbian loving.

Scene Five: Kimberly Kane, a lean brunette notably present on many of last year’s best movies (a truism in most of the last several years by the way), was up last with curvy blond Ashley Fires, the ladies using the same white platform to get each other off on top of though they seemed to like getting anally fingered as well. Their strap outfits looked more suitable for allowing easy access to their private parts than anything else, their oral devotion to one another good enough to showcase just how moist they were from the very beginning. The face sitting and oral worship aspects of the scene were splendid, the closer I watched them got at it, the more I knew how much they were enjoying themselves thoroughly. Heck, the smothering of Ashley by Kimberly using her labia was smoking hot too, the blond inhaling some prime scent and gobbling pussy and ass like she was getting off by giving pleasure. The camera work was not the most fluid in the flick, Aiden stating he was not as able to get around due to an injury, but even the soft focus did not detract here while the ladies demonstrated such acumen for their physical needs.

Summary: Belladonna: Buttface by Belladonna and her husband Aiden Riley for Evil Angel was a lot of fun to watch, the strokability and replay value enhanced substantially by the amounts of chemistry in the scenes and the substantial body of BTS footage serving as the primary extra so it earned a rating of Highly Recommended. This was a back to basics approach that would not have worked half as well in less capable hands, the raw energy and passion of the performers again trumping the technical matters handled by the injured Aiden. In short, Belladonna: Buttface was not a full service type of gonzo and the lesbian action was not marred by an abundance of toys, the resulting sexual trysts able to stand the test of time better by relying on the aspects so few in porn seem to offer so give this one a chance to end up in your collections if you appreciate fine ass play and lesbian antics.
