Why does the press release promote a stills gallery?

Preview  Women Seeking Women would not be on its 95th volume if the most realistic sex in lesbian adult video and casts of female stars who really love women wasn’t a winning formula.  Recipient of five consecutive AVN awards for Best All-Girl Series, Women Seeking Women is the longest running and most successful series from Girlfriends Films.  I highly recommended WSW93 a while back, and decided to check in on things.  Volume 95 stars GF's ever present contract girl, Samantha Ryan, and she turns in a typically thrilling performance.  Veruca James is here as well, and she is a consistent talent, too.  Here are four scenes of women one-on-one, exploring each others' bodies and emotions...

Review The unnamed director starts things out with Adriana Chechik talking to Amber Chase about her last relationship.  Amber is a petite brunette with small, natural boobs.  She has been working wih GF since 2009.  Adriana is newer, and younger.  She's also a petite brunette.  The dialogue was stiff and failed to convey any sense of sexual desire or tension. After they move from the kitchen to the bedroom, the sex was intimate, but not intense.  While all the compulsory moves were shown, the scene wasn't arousing.  It's funny that while the press release calls this "Amber further[ing] Adriana’s introduction to lesbian sex", the scene played like Adriana was the lead.

The next scene starts with an intro that is waaayy too long; 10 minutes of blah, blah, blah about domestic violence plus one minute of Lily Labeau revealing her attraction to Veruca James.  Veruca is a petite brunette.  Lily is also petite, with a new, short, blonde hairdo.  Lily led the seduction of the innocent acting Veruca. They started slowly, kissing and caressing on the bed, and progressed with a measured pace.  Later, Veruca shed the innocent, inexperienced role and showed the type of dedicated display her many fans have come to expect.  The muff diving here was genuine and loving, not the quick tongue flicks you've seen elsewhere. The camera angles selected were extremely complimentary, managing to catch some closeup action, as well as giving a great overview of these two gorgeous bodies pressed together.  The ladies seemed to enjoy their time together; better than the previous set, but nothing special.

In a bit of a continuation, the next scene picks up with Lily and Veruca still in bed, along with Odile and Christie Nelson. Odile's nervous laughter was very annoying while Lily persuaded her to explore Christie's body.  While Odile has an athletic body type, Christie has a petite body topped off with the prototypical mosquito bite tits and trimmed with a tidy little bush.  This whole scene was awkward; starting with Lily and Veruca hanging around for the beginning of foreplay, then just shuffling off without further ado.  The tryst was pretty mechanical, not much more than reciprocal manual stimulation followed by reciprocal oral.  Throwaway scene. (It's pronounced'oh-deal)

Samantha Ryan should wear a cape, because she saved this movie. Finally, Samantha and Taylor Vixen enjoy wine and uncover each others' hidden lesbian urges.   On the heels of the prior piece, this one is a joy to behold.  Sam and Taylor were a good match in terms of sexual energy, as such the two had great chemistry, making the scene fun to watch.  There were multiple believable climaxes on screen, and there should be some in the screening rooms as well.  This second pretty good scene saved the title from a truly bad review.

Final Thoughts No wonder GF keeps it's directors secret.  If I knew who was responsible for this production, I would steer far clear of their work in the future.  Of the four scenes depicted, two were arousing and the other two were only good for oogling naked women.  Samantha Ryan's presence made a flick with some pretty bad attempts at drama watchable.  The editor's choice to bookend the sub-standard set(2) with the two best was a good one.  There was too much talking for the sake of talking in this one.  Drama is one thing, but some of the rambling here only served to bloat the run time.  If you're one of the legions of Veruca James or Lily Labeau fans, you won't be disappointed.  If you're just looking for some hot ladies in entertaining and sensous situatons, try before you buy.  Women Seeking Women 95 is an iffy proposition, you should Rent It first to see if you like it.  The dramatic elements, ie pre-sex, were stilted and way too long.  The sex was good enough, but not explosive, as it could have been.  Is this due to lack of chemistry between performers, or the director’s vision?
