Preview Girlfriends Films takes its turn at exploding religious taboos in Mysterious Ways.  India Summer and Remy LaCroix are the stars, Maddy O'Reily and Bonnie Rotten are featured along with a few new faces.  The box art shows a GF rarity, three ladies in one scene!

Mysterious Ways is the story of a mother (India Summer) who casts her wayward lesbian daughter into the world before being guided by a mysterious power to re-evaluate herself and their relationship.  The story idea is original enough, but the execution of the drama in the movie was lacking.  India Summer is unquestionably the best actress in porn, and her solo scenes were fine, but watching Alektra Blue play drunk was painful.  The other two lead-in scenes were tolerable, but none of the intros added much to the subsequent sex.  It's worth noting that character names were used; Remy played "Chelsea", daughter of "Marla" (India Summer). The guy in the robe and bad wig was a dramatic fail.  He was a litle too preachy, going into a diatribe (which you should ffwd through) about tolerance and love.  A stop stroking interlude, if ever there was one.

No set-up was needed for the opener, featuring Remy Lacroix, one of the stars, and the new and improved Bonnie Rotten.  Fans of body art know Bonnie well, as well as fans of plump juicy booties know & love Remy.  They were all over each other, with a lot of deep kissing and faces buried in muffs.  XXX  THis scene featured Bonnie squirting, and mutual use of a Hitachi magic wand.  Theladies seemed attracted to each other and were engaged as they shared their pleasure.  Even as a squirt fan, Bonnie makes it seem like a parlour trick.  The tone was more energetic and playful than romantic.  I thought Chelsea (Remy) could have done more to protect her mom from the jizz bomb Bonnie detonated, and maybe she wouldn't have slipped in the aftermath.

On the search for her daughter, India meets Alektra Blue.  They drown their daughter disowning sorrows and submit to their lesbian urges.  The excessive whimpering was more annoying than sensual, but the action provided plenty of good visuals.  Alektra has a body much like Bonnie Rotten, save for the tatoos.  India had some nice tan lines if that's your thing. It's hard to accept India Summer as a religious prude, but that's why she's a good actress. It seemed like Alektra was locked into girl-girl porn mode, all the cumpulsory move were present, but the scene felt empty; maybe that was the point.(?)

Marla's next stop brought her to meet Alex Chance and Chrissy Nova.  Alex and Chrissy play nudists, so the nonsense dialogue was highly ignorable. I don't know which woman was which and I still don't have any inclination to find out.  Their tryst wasn't typical lipstick lesbian porn, but it was on the low end of the GF scale.  Both ladies were curvy, but nowhere near thick.  One had a nice rear to complement the other's rack, but this was a totally forgetable scene, with India as an uninvolved voyuer in the corner.

Things end with a bang, as the finale features a GF rarity, a threesome!.  Mother, daughter, and random unintroduced chick (Maddy O'Reily)pile onto the bed to lick and suck their way to a family reunion.  I've seen GF do incest in another movie, but you won't see it here.  The most contact between India and Remy was moving hair out of the shot.  Remy's delectable derriere was again the star of the show in my eyes and the scene was good overall, but in a threesome, I expect to see everybody loving everybody but this scene was Remy/Maddy, then India/Maddy, with the other lady adding an assist.  It could have been better, but that's become the theme of this review.

Final Thoughts Not as good as another religiously themed lesbian taboo busting movie, but that's my fault for comparing the two in the first place.  In the pantheon of one-off GF movies, this is average.  Mysterious Ways is a movie you should Rent It first.  There is decent to good eye candy appeal, but not much more than pretty bodies on display to entertain you.  After see the end, I appreciated the point being made, but probably won't replay soon.
