Audio/Video Quality: Slutty & Sluttier 22 was presented in anamorphic widescreen the scenes were originally shot in by director Manuel Ferrara for Evil Angel. The quality of the visuals varied a bit here but Manuel focused less on the technical matters instead of maintaining the usual sexual energy and chemistry, some POV material mixed with other camera tricks to mix things up. The lighting was decent and that eliminated most of the problems associated with gonzo productions, Manuel's works virtually always a few notches above the competition from what I've seen over the years. The editing was decent, the sexual chemistry enhancing the end product. The audio was offered up in 2.0 Dolby Digital English but there was no separation noticed that I could figure out, and the dynamic range was pretty limited too; the scenes coming from quickly shot gonzo; the guerilla shooting style favored by pornographers everywhere.

Body of Review: Manuel Ferrara is one of the most sought after performers in the industry, his directorial efforts at Evil Angel showing that he makes wise choices behind the camera as well as in front of it. His latest release making it my way for review is called Slutty & Sluttier 22, the series long established as a favorite for showcasing some of the best top notch talent available. This time, there was an all star cast comprised of curvy Phoenix Marie, beautiful Karlie Montana, incredibly popular Gracie Glam, and newcomer Ashlyn Molloy in one of her first male on female scenes; the single disc treatment balanced out by the lack of filler scenes you’d find elsewhere. My biggest disappointment was the use of Ramon Nomar in one scene and James Deen in another, neither male as popular in the gonzo realm as Manuel (let’s face it, the ladies respond differently to the director than they do to the others).

I can see why some fans are infatuated with the director/performer and I thought this earned a rating of Recommended, the decision to go with quality over quantity yet again working for the director, at least in terms of the ladies. From the amazing Phoenix Marie to the sensual Gracie Glam to the perky Ashlyn Molloy and beautiful Karlie Montana, each scene provided what I was looking for in the women. In short, Slutty & Sluttier 22 gave further evidence as to why Manuel Ferrara has become a “go to” performer for so many companies, his way with the ladies sure to enhance such a great cast but even in the other scenes, he did fairly well with directing his surrogates.
